Great......Kershaw shut down after 60 pitch sim game. Norris pitching tomorrow and Urias pitching Thurs.

It would be nice if this team could catch a break once in a while.......

Clayton Kershaw return uncertain, still bothered by back discomfort
By Eric Stephen @ericstephen on Jul 19, 2016
Clayton Kershaw will not return to the Dodgers anytime soon, still feeling discomfort in his back, manager Dave Roberts told reporters on Tuesday before the series opener against the Nationals.

 You can hit me up for optimism on all things non-Puig, the train has left the station on that particular topic
I'm like the majority of MLB's execs when LAD says Puig is available...I'm passin on that hype

Might as well chalk this season up if Kersh isn't coming back any time soon.

A world without Kershaw, is a world I don't want to be a part of.

Why is Urias coming back to the rotation? Why keep burning through his innings instead of giving JDL a shot?

I'm going to be honest here... I always thought it was birth, as a metaphor for being "born" into the playoffs. Well, good to know for future reference on the off chance we make it to the playoffs.

Urias has been pretty shitty honestly. Im sure he will have a great career but im not sure how you can definitively say that when jdl hasn't even thrown a ML pitch.

11 games between now and the deadline, hopefully they go like 2-9 and the Marlins, Mets, Cardinals and Pirates go on nice runs.

At least consider moving Jansen and Turner (with the QO being a fallback option), Blanton and to a lesser extent Utley being tradable assets.

And for me, this might be the nightmare scenario. Our ace, and maybe one of the all time greats, wasting away on a team that didn't take advantage.

    I truly hope not.

I can definitively say that Julio Urias is better than Jose De Leon and it's not just me saying it.

And it's likely only a couple of starts, which fuels the 'aquire a starter at the deadline' fire.

Wow, disagree on several points. Agree that Jansen gets the QO (it's not going to come to that), but you're going to offer the oft injured Turner a one year $16 million dollar deal? No way. Neither Blanton nor Utley will garner much of a return, so not really trade assets. Blanton is 35 and Utley is 37, so I can't see much value coming back from them when they can be had as FA's for low end deals.
