    All this dumbfuck manager had to fucking do was almonte 1 inning, Graterol 1 inning and Phillips 1 inning and he fucked it up trying to squeeze outs out of guys who had no fucking business being in the game. Fucking moron.

    Hate to say I called this one, but The Scarecrow burned his best relievers yesterday with a 5-run lead, so today felt he needed to stretch Almonte a second inning with a 2-run lead, and then Vesia in a tie game. Absolutely asinine.

    Roberts is brain dead, bullpen sucks. most of the lineup absolutely fucking sucks except Betts, Freeman, Smith and JD but JD has sucked lately because he won't stop swinging at every fucking pitch he sees.

    Bullpen sucks..... However, our better bullpens of the past have covered many of Robert's bone head moves. We see what happened today. So what does Dave do exactly? Not much. ;)

    Easy to overlook in the wake of another bullpen implosion was a game full of shit ABs by JD and Freddie, especially JD, who had an Outman-like night at the plate.

    JD was on a tear and then had that ugly AB vs Gerritt Cole where he swung at an outside pitch after Cole had thrown 6 straight balls and basically bailed him out of a jam. JD hasn't been the same since. Coincidence?

    I'm so fed up with the ineptitude of Roberts. How is it possible for ownership to not see how much this team is hamstrung by his decision making and lack of leadership? FFS, if it's just about diversity, get a real fuckin manager and fill every other coaching position with diversity. He is absolutely killing us and this has reached epic proportions.

    With the right-handed-hitting Jiménez and Burger due up in the eighth, Roberts tried to coax two more outs from Almonte.

    “It wasn’t two innings, it was an up-down, two more batters,” Roberts said. “Considering what he did [in the seventh], it’s a no-brainer. It just didn’t work out.”

    “Very deflating,” Roberts said. “Clayton pitched his ass off, he competed. He didn’t have a whole lot as far as stuff but gutted his way through six innings. We took a lead, and we gave it away. We can’t lose that game.”

    Did Roberts consider using Graterol to start the eighth inning instead of Almonte?

    “Yup, I did,” he said. “But you throw a handful of pitches [in the seventh] and then you’re gonna go out there and get two hitters. I don’t think that’s a big ask.”

    “It’s very frustrating,” Roberts said. “It’s not workload. It’s not the wrong lanes or the right lanes. They need to be better. Period.”
