I wish we played the Yankees every year. Would be really cool if we got a Kershaw-Felix matchup when we face Seattle

It was pretty bogus that we didn't play the Yankees in 2008 in the final year at Yankee stadium. Played them in the WS like 11 times.

I think we should play the AL East teams in 2016

Yeah. I thought it was weird because didn't we play them in '04 here as well?

I think this was also before they started the rotations AL East/Central/West.

We played them at Dodger Stadium in '04. We haven't been to Old Yakee Stadium since the '81 WS.

This has nothing to do with the thread...but there is a house (ok, a small mansion) on the 7th hole of Pinehurst #2 that has 2 of the flag poles and a section of the facade from old Yankee Stadium in the front yard. You see the backyard from the course but can still see the flagpoles over the house as you walk down the fairway. The owner bought them when they auctioned off pieces of the stadium and had them trucked down here. Pretty cool if you're a fan. By the way, the house has an indoor pool and racquetball court...it's a summer home. Sheesh.
