I defend Puig fairly regularly in regards to false narratives by the media about just when he went downhill. I routinely mention his defense is outstanding. I side with Puig on the Joc collisions. I just cannot overlook how unreliable he is offensively. I think his plate discipline isn't all that bad. It's the swing.
