whew a win is a win but would have preferred not to have given the dbags momentum heading to tomorrow
Now up 7.5 on Colorado. I expected them to fall off...didn't expect them to fall off so fast before the ASB.
Descalso reminds me of the movie Under Siege when Tommy Lee says why didn't we get this guy (Seagal) I don't how much it would have taken but it would have been worth it!!! If anything just to get him away from any other team who would want to sign him.
He'd suck if the Dodgers got him. Remember Jim Eisenrich? And I'm not referring to his Tourette's. Killed the Dodgers, joined them, then blew.
It's going to be very difficult to adjust to life after Kershaw. I hope that's not for a very long time. He's as close to perfect as I've ever seen. When he walks a batter or gives up a HR, it's so painful because the bar he has set over the past decade is so high. No matter what he's endured in his career, the basic run prevention has never relented. He finds a way. I'm young but I don't think I'll ever see a better pitcher. Scherzer may give Brian Kenny (who I like) a boner for "best RIGHT NOW!". But we've heard it about many others. Ultimately, Kershaw is the only pitcher who never leaves the conversation. And not to be too sensitive on the internet (hey, it's Clayton..hard not to), but @Chiefdodgerslkrs24 ...putting words in my mouth about saying he sucks...come on. Said nothing close to that. I just pointed out that for the first time in a while there's a disparity between his FIP and ERA because of the walks and HRs. Again, he's set the bar so incredibly high that it's even a discussion.
