Did the same last time out. Even with Wood down they're still in decent shape immediate slot wise, but the depth is obviously running short. Holding off on Ryu for a sec, McCarthy set to return in early July, have Strip of course, they're comfortable with the teen and I definitely wanna see him. We'll see
No complaints about the pitching the last two nights. Just 2 runs given up to one of the best lineups in the game.
Meh, hopefully the Giants lose so we don't lose ground. Not sure how I feel about tomorrow's game, but a split would be awesome.
Lol Plate ump got hit in the nuts twice in the same AB in the CLE game Had to bring out a bottled water for him
Idk, i really don't. We can go on and on about blame and what should have been done but when you get down to it, for months now the basis of the offense hasn't been that it needs external replacements, but that it needs the players to perform. Now, that they aren't, what do you do? I can't see them trying to add offense through an outfielder. A middle infielder? You have Seager and you could move him to 3B, but I can't see another 2B since Utley has been good and we have a million. You aren't getting another 1B. Quality catchers are almost never moved. So, it comes down to 3B/SS, and if they wanna add offense then it's basically finding a 3B. And... well, I can't see anything. So, we circle back to: We're fucked if the current squad doesn't perform. It's logical to think they will do better b/c theres too much talent to not. But offense isn't easily acquired, and in the spots where maybe it is, the Dodgers can't realistically add. Cool!
