Eh whatever Our real cy young pitches tomorrow so I ain't even trippin. Greinke in game 5 also if it comes to it But this offense is cheeks too Come on Bruh
I expect Zack to pitch well tomorrow and I think brett might just give us a decent outing. But I expect the same lame shit from the offense we see every year in the playoffs with the exception of game 1 vs the Cards last season.
All my post are negative as hell lol....just can't help myself. So emotionally invested in this team and they break my heart every year.
If the Stat is true that 75 percent of teams who win the first game win the series, either make it 7 games or 1 game. What's the point of the 5 game set up? It Essentially comes down go 1 game anyways.
When I look at this team at 1st glance, I think of a team with a huge bench depth....lots of guys that can hit, waiting for their chance. a team that had too many outfielders that can start, we had nowhere to play all these guys! Then I see 2 old ass Ex-Phillies that barely surpassed the .200 line come crawling off the Dodger bench in the late innings of a close playoff game. WTF?
Personally, I'd shoot Puig out of a cannon to ATL for Andrelton Simmons and call it both a win and a day. Not even sure if Hart would accept that and all that comes with Puig, but the nerds did have interest in Simmons. I want that dude in the middle so that our aces and young pitchers can pitch to contact more and save some juice for the post...so the bullpen can be helped as much as possible. I'm not consumed with righty power. I want good ABs. Seager and AGon fend for themselves as lefties. Kendrick would be fine behind them and Turner on occasions.
It's really too early to be talkin about who we're trading and all that shit...hell, they could turn it around. However, the numbers don't favor them. Hated saying that. Again, we basically have 3 regulars who hit power pitching. AGon, Kendrick, and Seager. Turner jumped up and had a day, as did Ellis, but I wouldn't just be expecting either to blow up next game. Ellis likely won't even be in the lineup because Greinke's guy is Grandal.
Ok, but seriously...how do you throw Pedro Baez into a bases loaded 2 outs situaton vs David fucking Wright? I don't care if Kershaw is literally choking on the mound and can't breathe....I hated that decision from start to finish. He's our ace and the face of the franchise...let him go after that out. I guess Mattingly didn't want to make the same mistake as last year and leave Kershaw in for the 7th inning and be burned again, but Baez has never shown the ability to get a big out. Wright is way too smart of a hitter to be fooled by a one trick pony like Baez.
Yeah, so I'd be done with Kershaw pitching to Ellis until further notice. Not that it was Ellis' fault, but we need to try somethin new. Keeping those two together just ain workin out in the post. Could've used a stolen strike or 3 in the 7th.
WEll true, but like other times before...there is NO good option. And in his defense, HE had 2 strikes on him(Wright). I'd bet my life if CK would've stayed in there he would've given up a long ball. That's what he does.
