Ummmm...there's some videos you can watch if you're into that kind of thing....not that there's anything wrong with it......."
judging from the lack of traffic in here tonight i'm not sensing a lot of optimism for tomorrow... and i don't blame you we've had our hopes dashed too many times the past several years to think/feel otherwise weird too... i was totally excited/nervous for game 1 but i find myself dreading tomorrow and while i'm clinging to the "hope for the best, prepare for the worst" attitude i'm definitely preparing the latter like we're not just gonna lose, but lose badly like 12-1 badly i'd say prove me wrong dodgers, but i know better whatever, fuck it bring it on
sure he'd prefer a ring but this will have to do... The Dodgers gave Chase Utley a wrestling belt for being The Man and he smiled by Enrico Campitelli | SSN Philly — 12 hours ago Reminder: Chase Utley is The Man. Still is. Probably always will be. After his big performance last night helping the Los Angeles Dodgers keep their season alive, his teammates rewarded him handsomely. This truly fantastic photo popped up in our Twitter feed this afternoon and we simply didn't have any idea what was going on, other than CHASE UTLEY IS SMILING. That is a rare occurrence. Trevor Vernola @tvern16 Single greatest picture of 2016? 10:11 AM - 12 Oct 2016 After Googling the photo attribution in the bottom right of the image, it took us to this fantastic Dodgers photo blog. We found the caption for the photo, which explains a little bit of what was going on. "2016 NLDS Game 4—Chase Utley receives the Player of the Game belt by teammate Josh Reddick Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California. Photo by Jon SooHoo/© Los Angeles Dodgers, LLC 2016" That's a good belt. Would love to see Chase get many more of them.
We can beat these guys...we've done it before and sure as shit can do it again. Let them pump up Scherzer into a superhuman...it's the same guy out there that was on the hill in the first game, isn't it? What happened then? Buck up...maybe for once, the hand dealt is a good one for us...
Hoping they'll hit a couple of bombs with runners on. Scherzer's been know to cough a few up. Going to be hard to string together a bunch of hits against him.
That's like poetry, huh?. I feel like tonight's game is as close to 50/50 as it gets. They have their home field and pitcher of choice, but I think we've been slightly better over the series (just haven't hit with RISP) and at least their pitcher of choice is a righty. This can go either way, but based on the series so far I think it's guaranteed to be close.
everytime i think about this game i see a floating hill curve hit about 600ft. like last game the chances of that happening are high but if no one is on the damage is limited keep the bases empty and grind... show up or go home i'm hoping the chase factor has given us balls and agon did finally show up so exercise hard and stay busy all day and grab some beer for later thats my agenda
According to our very own @ColoradoKidWitGame, the weather is a lot better tonight for Hill's pitching style than it was in Game 2. I'm hoping it turns out that way. I also agree with Diablo, Hill's heavy doses of curveballs will leave him susceptible to a homer or two, so he just needs to keep men off base to minimize the damage. We could/should be looking at an early bullpen game, and it's the first time in years I've felt good about that. And we are still waiting on that one big inning to blow a game wide open, we've been so close so many times this series, there's a good chance we finally come through with one tonight.
I really hope we pounce on Scherzer quick today. Utley needs to look to ambush him in the first AB. His first pitch in game one was a fastball right down the middle, they have to make him pay for those mistakes tonight.
Let's get our big bats rolling against Mad Max. Start the game hot then hold it down. We're better then the Nats, we can do this
If I remember correctly, the first pitch to Utley, Seager, and Turner were all fastballs right down the middle (we all know how the Seager fastball turned out). If he starts with the same approach today we need to jump on him. It's a game 5, so no point in worrying about running up his pitch count, we are going to face good/fresh pitching all 9 innings no matter what, I'd almost rather have the righty in there as long as they want.
Hill is not Kershaw. Regardless of the situation I don't want him going more than 5 innings or 80 pitches
Like I had mentioned before, the conditions were terrible for a curveball favoring pitcher. The wind was steadily blowing in which was causing a lot of those pitches to hang. Really hoping that this means the Nationals are facing a totally different pitcher tonight.
