    here is the sad thing: Pollock isn't even an ideal platoon partner with Joc. Enrique/Taylor probably hit better against lefties as compared to Pollock and I'd bet their defense isn't that far off.

    I've been the biggest advocate of the Joc/Kike platoon.
    Both lifetime. 800-.900 OPS against the opposite hand. It would have been perfect.
    Handing Kike the keys to 2B every day ruined him.
    Your point stands though. There is no ideal place for Pollock.
    It was just a bad signing. Bellinger in CF, Verdugo in RF, and Joc/Kike in LF is our best OF.

    the Pollock signing would look better if one of Verdugo/Bellinger/Joc/Muncy sucked I think. Was never a fan of Pollock signing to be honest but I guess I could see why they wanted to do it, as an insurance policy if one of those guys sucked or came back to earth or got hurt, and to give us some right handedness.

    Eventually common sense has to prevail, though.
    The best players need to play in October. If Pollock isn't one of them, so be it
    Cannot have Joc playing 1B to accommodate Pollock in games that matter.
    He is also our worst CFer defensively.

    I'm cautiously optimistic they'll bench the right people come October. They've done it with Grandal, with Cody, with Puig.

    Verdugo has lost command of the zone. Pollock may be the insurance policy against Verdugo wearing down and/or getting exposed in October like all of our rookies do.
    Granted, an exposed Verdugo is still better than Pollock.

    Pollock got 3 hanging flat sliders that AB. Nothing.
    Had about 4 earlier in the game too.

    I really hope any team we trade with demands Kike as a throw-in.
    Ridding ourselves of Barnes and LGBT boy in the same month would feel like pure sex.

    she should have seen the decorations for my sister's birthday last night. Broke out the mannequins and all my old lair madness w creepy lightning etc. Not suitable for all ages. And yet here I sit at a hotel bar watching the game because someone invited me to a wedding. Go figure.
