Yeah, I've gone to NLDS every year since 2013. Generally speaking I've enjoyed my time but I don't know how happy an nlds win would make me in 2017
he's right though, at least its in the stratosphere of affordability for a ticket already resigned to the fact i'll never witness a WS game live one because Dodgers and two because even in the event they overcome number one no fucking way i pay a G to attend
Personally, I have zero confidence that Ethier will be able to handle post season pitching. He's been an average joe in OCT for his career with about a .750OPS, and it's not like they haven't been making sure he's facing his righties in the post. Ethier's been in 11 post season series with LAD and has only had a solid to great impact in 2 of them, and both of those series were in 2009. So I totally see why Doc is still trying to get Grandy back going..not only has he obviously been far more productive than Ethier this year, Grandy has about a .800 career OPS in the post season over 200+ plate appearances. Now, of course Grandy's sucking right now and so everybody's patience has run out, but the numbers are the numbers and all Ethier has going for him right now is a nice 13 game reg-season stint. The same gloomy post season presence Ethier's seemingly always had comes with that though. All in all, Ethier's overrated AF, always has been..a lot of fans just don't remember it until OCT rolls around and he looks meh against top gunners on the mound. Have to call'em how I see'em and this MF shrinks in OCT, but that said, hopefully Ethier does something of note in OCT for the 1st time in forever because his time is running out and obviously what's good for him is good for us. I just can't see my spirits being lifted because Ethier's in over Grandy when Grandy has the superior resume career-wise and in 2017. Ultimately, I just can't do it, and I know Doc has the book on Ethier, so it wouldn't shock me if he felt the same. My lasting post season memory of Ethier is him getting picked off of 3B by Yadi Molina, ending LAD's 2-run inning and comeback chances VS STL. But I guess we'll see what happens with LF..hopefully Grandy gets it turned around because I can dig a post-season Grandy that has it together. He's actually done some shit in OCT. He's been in 12 post season series and has had a solid to great performance in 7 of them.
Have more faith in Granderson than Grandal tbh. Granderson has been making bad contact but still having good at bats with the walks, and maybe the past 2 nights shows his contact is getting better. Grandal's at bats still aren't good and maybe its nitpicky but even the home run wasn't SUPER impressive.
8 strikeouts against this guy. I have no confidence in our offense putting it all together for three consecutive playoff series. There's just too much high-risk high-reward type guys and a ton of swinging Miss . After Bellinger's spot in the order I'm not sure who I trust. Obviously the lower half of the order appears to have done the only damage today, but still. And Taylor looks gassed to me. Popping a lot of balls up and not having the same babip luck
