DODGERS Dodgers vs Braves - NLCS

I don’t see anyone being blocked right now. The Dodgers juggle so many guys on and off the IL, and even run 6-man rotations sometimes... there’s plenty of room for Buehler, May, Urias, Gonsolin, Gray, Kershaw, and Price. I think you can count the Dodgers out on trying to sign any Bauer types though.

 

Absolutely. This was purely for a THIS postseason scenario. Not sure how they do this going forward after what all 3 showed.

 

I meant in the future. I want the young pitchers turned loose in '21.

 

Man... just sitting here knowing how good the Braves and Padres are going to be and I am getting more worked up. Gotta fucking win this thing, NOW. This is and has been our best shot yet. We beat both the Braves and Padres without their aces. Things are not going to get easier.

 

Haven't you seen his playoff numbers when not facing the Dodgers?

 

Fried and Anderson are pretty darn good. Don't know how Soroka is gonna be coming off an achilles but we will see. Rays are a good team with a bunch of good pitching, but their offense isn't anything to get scared about. This might be a low scoring series unless our bats go completely ham.

It was literally Buehler fighting through innings with just his fastball. If he doesn’t have blisters he’s probably going 7-8 innings each outing and shutting everyone down.

 

He turned it up to another level and did win that WS, though. I give guys like that the benefit of the doubt that they may be more settled down going forward. I could be wrong and he's still the same guy, but his normal post season appearance is a bit better than that of what we got from May or Gonsolin.

 

I was talking about 2021 too. I’ve never seen 7 starters as being too many in a regular season. They also have no loyalties to Price and we have an opening at Closer... I wonder if we could see him move to the pen.

 

Rays have been pretty much HR or nothing in the playoffs, but it's gotten them this far.

 

HRs are hard to hit in Globe Life. Doubly hard if you’re facing the Dodgers.

 

It will be interesting to see how that translates to this stadium. The ball was flying out of LA and Petco. Could take them a couple games to figure out. Need to take advantage.

 

Not sure Price has closer stuff and that aside, he's a bit of a prick. Not sure he'd accept pitching in relief.

I am not worried about the Rays(famous last words), that is what I am saying. This is one to win. There is no excuse this time. We were cheated once and ran into a super hot Sox team the other year. I think we are maybe not better than them at what, one position? 2 if you include the bullpen. I am just saying that it is not going to be easier going forward as the Padres and Braves have some great young talent. We are here now, gotta win it.

 

I thought I was going to dwell on the name Bryse Wilson all off-season... but now I can forget who he is.
