Wow...opposite ends of the spectrum.
Kenley is a real Heckyl and Jekyl.
Been watching the grand old game forever and I've never seen it.
Maybe they should make him a starter.
So Kenley looked better today, but still not the same. The sinker he was throwing (his slider?) was mixed in well and looked nasty. I still don’t see a cutter, but I see a loopy meatball fastball once in a while, I’m guessing that’s it. He looks like a strictly fastball, sinker pitcher, and I guess he can survive on that. He had a cutter earlier in the year, so maybe he can regain it, but hopefully if it’s not there he can shelf it for the day.
I still don’t want him closing. I rewatched Graterol in the first and there’s something special about a guy that can effortlessly throw 100 with a 90 mph slider mixed in. Kenley should be trying out for the postseason roster right now, not “building confidence” for a closer role he seems to be grandfathered into.
definitely wasn't a sinker. They call it a slider, but it is basically a curve.
Bullpen game opener who says yes?
Maybe MLB should test for weed again. Maybe Cody will hit better then
Whatever he calls it, I only recall him throwing one during his disastrous outing Sat night and it was a good one.
Cody, Joc, Lux and Muncy should share a bowl.
Shout out to the bullpen yesterday. 9 innings, 1 ER, 10 Ks, 1 walk, 4 hits. That’s fantastic
A word on Bellinger : everyone and their grandmothers are talking about him standing on top of the plate...I mean everybody.
His swing seems less likely for good contact because of it, and gives opposing pitchers a RUNWAY for pitching to him. But has he moved away ( back) even an inch ? Nah.
Are the batting coaches blind or loaded up on heroine? Or gone blind?
Is anyone working with this guy at all?
It just maddening to see an obvious flaw not corrected or at least addressed.
At least fucking try...
I saw him throw one and Bregman hit it into right center for the go ahead hit and run
