    Dodgers should pretend that the Giants are a contender and maybe they’ll sweep them then. Incredible that they can do amazing against teams in contention and struggle against pathetic teams.

    how did we add dozier and machado and regress?
    this was the perfect year to sneak a championship
    guess we're technically still in it but it sure doesn't feel that way
    SF out for blood and rightly so

    If the Rockies win today, we are pretty much screwed. The only way to win the division outright would be to sweep the Giants while the Rockies lose 2/3 to Washington. Highly unlikely. We would be lucky to even play an NL West tiebreaker game at Dodger Stadium if the Rockies win today.

    Seriously both Dozier and Machado have tanked upon arrival. OK Manny is starting to come around but Dozier misses home cooking or something because he used to crank. .268/.340/.886 followed by .271/.359/.856 and here he hits .180?/.294/.625?. That's nearly 100 points off his BA and 200 points off his OPS!! That is a stunning drop off for someone who was solid for two years.

    And OF COURSE the vaGiants gave MadBum extra rest to 'save' him for trying to keep us out of the playoffs. Of course. Would we do the same with Kershaw? It doesn't matter if they're just sore losers, it's still going to make game 1 tough.

    Honestly that’s what pisses me off. Deserve ain’t got nothing to do with it but I fuckin hate the idea of the Rockies getting to win the division when they didn’t even push forward at the deadline and the Dodgers actually tried to get better. Rockies saw a ton of hitters go past them and didn’t acquire them. We’ll read stories on the Rockies trying hard or wtv bullshit but really, the Dodgers players choked this away. They still have a shot and I really really hope the Rockies miss the playoffs and I can laugh at them for having their best shot ever to win the division and not even trying to get better.
