Isaiah's defense is bad, no doubt Wasn't what killed LAL against Dallas though BJ Metta@bj_metta Isaiah Thomas @ Dallas: On Court 31 mins: OffRtg: 110 DefRtg: 111.1 NetRtg: -1.1 Off Court 17 mins: OffRtg: 140.9 DefRtg: 156.4 NetRtg: -15.5
Julius took the blame for the loss to Dallas, as he should..old man Dirk putting up 22pts in 24 minutes is unacceptable Gotta lock back in defensively Definitely unacceptable......
“I’m a lifelong Laker fan. My family is from Inglewood, California.” - @isaiahthomas Ohm YoungmisukVerified account@NotoriousOHM 32m32 minutes ago Lonzo Ball did everything in practice except contact. Depending on how Ball feels tomorrow morning, the Lakers will see what he can do in practice tomorrow before the Lakers' upcoming back-to-back.
The latest look at me moment by Lavar is probably the best one yet. Talking about Zo not re-signing or whatever if LAL doesn't add Gelo and Melo..as if Zo will be an unrestricted free agent in a 2-3 years. Media, desperate as always, predictably clinging to the fake news again. That said, on the less than 1% chance that Magic would get tired of Lavar helping LAL lead off every sports related show..if LAL were to trade any of the Zo/Ingram/Kuzma core, it would probably be Zo going. In that scenario, I guess I could see Magic flipping Zo and probably Deng over to Portland for Lillard. But again, it's not happening..unless LeBron nudges Magic..then maybe.
Lonzo + Deng + Isaiah Thomas could net a nice superstar PG like Lillard. I am on the no to LeBron team right now though because our team is rich with wings/SF/tweener types and we already courting guys like Paul George and then looking for Kawhi/Klay/Butler as future possibilities. You have to leave a spot for Ingram to still start and for Kuzma to have solid PT off the bench. I want Cousins + George with IT staying on with the exception and then getting a nice multiyear deal once we lock up the stars. PG: Lonzo, IT, Hart (caruso) SG: George, IT, Hart SF: Ingram, Kuzma (brewer type) PF: Randle, Kuzma C : Cousins, Randle, (zubac/bryant) That works out to a good rotation that can match up across the board with shooters and guys that can help shore up the defense.
Cavs looking a lot better with the trade However, they still have to add Kevin Love's weak defense when he returns That'll slow them down, always does Lol Will have LeBron calling Magic.." you couldn't have sent Randle? "
They keep playing like that, Lebron may stay. Ironic that giving Clarkson and Nance to possibly clear cap space for Lebron may actually be a main reason he stays. Hope the FO has a backup plan.
Kahwi is intriguing, but I have a hard time thinking Klay will leave that juggernaut in GS. I think the GS FO will be willing to go way over the luxury threshold to keep that thing going for the next 5 years and then push the reset button. Dynasties don’t happen that often, and you try to keep it going. The Spurs though.....you kind of get the feeling they are running out of gas.
It's going to be a tough call for them. To keep everyone together beyond 2019, they're going to be in repeater tax land and paying upward of $250MM/year in salaries and tax. I know their ownership has deep pockets, and your point is well taken that you don't get dynasties like that very often, but that's a hard financial pill to swallow.
I see it differently. To me, if anything, LeBron can look at playing with Nance and Clarkson and feel like " damn, how good would we be if I were actually playing with the Lakers' good players? " Cleveland would have traded their lottery pick if LeBron were still into being a Cav long term. I don't know if he's coming to LAL, but there won't be a ton of other options..not this particular off-season with most teams not having the cap space to make big moves.
If they nickel and dime Klay, Klay may go. It is a huge financial risk for them. In fact with the repeater tax and other penalties for how much over the cap they may go, their total bill might get higher than $250M. That may be offset by the huge money they are going to get with the Chase Center opening up soon. Interestingly, Durant’s arrival almost makes Klay expendable. I see Draymond as their key player because of his ability to guard so many people and have an offensive side to him as well. But lose Klay and keep Curry, Dray, and Durant, getting a cheaper version of Klay maybe enough.
