Adam Schefter@AdamSchefter Crazy part of the NBA lottery. LeBron James leaves Cleveland for the Lakers...and one year later, the Lakers get a higher pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. Haaaateeeeeerrrr
Have to feel for Zion. Most situations weren't going to be that appealing, but the Pelicans is as bad as it gets. They hit the lottery big time before and they all had to show for it was 1 playoff series win and a disgruntled star.
AD is definitely gone with Zion landing, has already said he doesn't like playing center much. Forgot about that, so it's a wrap for him in N.O., for sure. Zion is obviously gonna get a ton of minutes at the 4
A month ago I would've felt the same. But David Griffin got the job and is a pretty good exec. I'll give him a chance..if he does us a solid We lock in AD on draft night, then we hit free agency with LeBron + AD + a pass 1st PG that vets enjoy playing with in Lonzo. Very strong. Better than what the Clippers can offer Kawhi
Having the 4th pick in this draft is almost like the RAIDERS having the #4 pick in the NFL draft this year. Hunter could be a strong player ala Clelin Ferrell, but the consensus is that there are 3 guys with star talent in this draft and they might go 1-2-3
He just has that style that would fit a win now team with LeBron. 3 and D guy with a high basketball IQ. But I know the pick probably ends up being traded.
I like Hunter, for sure. But yeah, he might be a Pelican. I could see Griffin wanting him alongside Ingram. Could be a formidable wing tandem to go with Zion
Knicks could actually make a decent offer for AD, but not as strong as ours. Griffin would probably have to have orders from the top to just make sure AD doesn't get what he wants, or to make sure he goes east. Ingram is better than Knox. Even with the medical issue, Knox isn't anything special..you have to roll the dice on Ingram and his health if you're Griffin and nobody above you in ownership is being vindictive. Mitch Robinson is an intriguing player. Ridiculous athleticism. Adding him would strengthen the Knicks' offer. Robinson and Zion might be the most athletically gifted 4/5 combo in the league if they're paired together
everyone shitting on where Zion went. but they're not in a bad spot if they deal davis.......to us of course. kuzma ball (or ingram) pick Wagner or hart not a bad group of young guys for him to be the star of if you ask me.
consensus schmensus Kemba 9th Klay 11th Kawhi 15th Steph 7th Butler 30th dame 6th fact is, outside of a guy like Zion, it's all a crapshoot. if we keep the pick, let's hope we get lucky
Can reorder the lottery anyway you want from a team standpoint and the same 3 guys are likely going 1-2-3. Doesn't mean there won't be other guys that surprise down the line..doesn't mean the consensus Top 3 guys will all pan out. Just the current standing. I've been shitting on the 2015 and 2017 drafts in recent days, so I'm well aware
I want bol bol and jaxson Hayes. Shot blocking seven footers with 3 point range. We have loads of tweeners that need to play at sg sf or even pf eventually. Center is our weak spot. AD don't want to be a center. Trade down with Atlanta for all their picks.
