Los Angeles Dodgers at Chicago Cubs Game Thread (August 1 - 4)

After all is said and done, CK is our only starter who is, and can be depended upon, to be, uh...consistently consistent.
He mostly always goes out there and pitches his ass off, and is rewarded only sporadilically. Like, is it fair (I know-life isn't fair, etc.) that he has 10 Ws and Ryu's 10 W record is better? It really doesn't matter, team wise, but I just would like to see him get what he deserves (CY), and not be kept from him because another guy close has a few more wins. He's already gotten screwed IMO, and that's a shame.
Great game two games ago by Ryu....and really, he was easy for Cub hitters on Fri.... I think basically the same for Greinke (I see less magnificence in this guy than anyone else here does, I know), but I'll take it all since in the end, we rock now. Individual records take a back seat.
Just would be nice if the team hit more often for him. There's just so many given chances in a season.

 

For VRP:

Harvey has stated publically...(and he has a supermodel type gf... blonde, long longs, beautiful, the whole ball of pussy, so to speak), that he is, so modestly and self-deprecatingly, basically a great stick man and has no problem with women throwing theirselves at him.
What a guy.

Adrian Gonzalez was scheduled for a day off tomorrow. Don Mattingly decided to rest him today instead.

 

Schumacher, HanRam and SVS go yard today.

 

AJ was off Thursday and now Saturday? Smh

 

Hopefully Dre can be a homie today.

 

Well Capuano is like a different pitcher with FedEx behind the dish also.

 

Schumaker is the only guy we can reasonably expect to produce in the bottom 5 in that lineup.

 

I'd say SVS over Schumaker

 

I'd agree if there was a lefty pitching. I'm not even going to try and spell this guy's last name but he's pretty dirty.

 

Maybe, i'm just thinking L/R matchup.

 

FedEx is Capuano's catcher. Donnie isn't tempting fate.
