Not Triunfel, he was playing for the Topes today. Frias and Rojas back tomorrow, Perez activated from DL, I imagine Arruebarrena not far behind.
Joc probably becomes the best option off the bench for a pinch running role. Have Lopes give him a crash course on some stuff. Who knows what he can give with the bat, not expecting much cause lots of prospects struggle when first coming up. But use his defense and speed cause no one on the bench can offer that at the moment. And need him and Andre as the lefty bat options, have plenty of righty options with Turner, SVS, and our thousand utility infielders
Generally speaking, League hasn't been bad when he starts an inning, it's when he inherits runners. Something like 50% of his inherited runners have scored.
Yeah Wilson and league have their spots where they aren't terrible. Trusting Mattingly to use them for these spots terrify me I think what's really necessary is a second lefty and we just have to pray for Pacos health A bullpen set of Kenley, JP, Wilson, league, second lefty, long man, and whoever impresses the most from a batch of Baez/Yimi/Frias can be used effectively If Paco can't get healthy, Wright can be used as a Second LOOGY I'm probably just wasting time with hypotheticals for the bullpen though, Mattingly will be weird about it
That didn't work to well when the Padres lefties went 2-2 off of him including the game winning run and RBI on Saturday night. No reason we can't purchase the contract of Elbert or something.
Not exactly a no-brainer but leaving Correia off the post season roster is the best option and putting Baez there in his place. Wright is going to be need if not for experience but for the fact that he can go multiples in the event (knock wood) our big 3 has a REAL bad outing. More optimistically that we blow out whomever we play in the playoffs.
This is the first time in a while where we have a lot of September call-ups that can really help us and we could have as many as 35 people on the roster, hotel bill is going to be large!
http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2014/...n.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebook Mentions some interesting player comps, if he became 07-09 Granderson (pre-Yankees, just not gonna hit for that kind of power playing in NL West parks), that would be awesome.
It's still in our hands, even though we are letting it slip away. Either we want it, or we fucking don't. If they want it more, and we let them take it from us, then we deserve every POS thing that happens to us. All we can do is win....just like the Giants are. If we win. they can't do shit....if we leave the door open for them, like it's been, then they'll take advantage. It's pretty simple.
you remember that series? i just knew you'd harken back a few months to the Dodgers' run in June. Lol
maybe they'll turn it around, but this has been a .500 ball club for a good enough span to say that they're scuffling. it pretty much coincides with Puig going in the tank as well. i'd have to say that he's pretty important.
