Don't look now...
Not with as much gravitas, of course...but in NYC, basketball courts have been a place where the crowd of people and social distancing has been ignored. There are about 80 of them that are on the list.
The city has removed the hoops from the backboards.
Fucking Kent State, people. It is absolutely gonna happen.
couldn't believe it when i saw costco had CUT off the metal tables and chairs from the hot dog stand areas
they ground down the steel that those things were anchored to in the cement!
why not just wrap them in plastic or some shit?
fucking extreme reactions everywhere
Seriously. What a ridiculous waste of resources & time. Nitwits.
just what i needed a tent city suddenly pops up in front of my moms house
walked over to talk to them and the guy is openly injecting in front of me
swear they will move on today and now its grown to three tents and LAPD came out but they are still there and defiant now
what kind of fucking state has this become when homeless addicts have more rights than us?
they don't know who they're fucking with thats for sure
getting ready to make a phone call
Yup, they got the same rights as anyone.
Sometimes it's not pleasant.
no they have more rights than anyone
they are openly dealing and shooting drugs on the street
if i open my business i'll have my license pulled and water shut off per farcetti
if a cop sees them shooting/dealing he's not going to arrest him per gruesome
we are having our society and rights stolen by the elected fools
there is no equity in the way this state is run
if this should be in politics than fine
i'm fucking pissed right now
so LAPD came out and when i asked what i could do they said to move out of state because its about to get worse
they are building three new shelters in chatsworth and will be moving more trash from the inner city to our streets
they were an older black cop and a young white female
both said they were leaving the first chance they get
You have the same rights as an individual.
As a business your rights are severely limited.
Officials are mandarins.
Mandarins think they work for one while carrying water for another.
They do not know what they are doing.
Propaganda comes from the median and the far-see empires.
It's not top down or bottoms up.
We live in what to them is the magian underworld.
The see are powered by chi who say si up close but don't mean it from far.
The force is soft power.
Ours is knowing when the time is nigh to say nay.
Trump is being pushed by the soft force.
Lockdowns are not legal.
This is not china.
But many politicians are mandarins.
More orange than Trump.
yeah i can go shoot drugs on the street and not get arrested
but as a taxpaying individual i have to pay to exist where i do
i suppose i have the right to choose to live as a vagrant
but other than that you don't make any sense on this one
maybe i should just let them get their government benes in my mailbox
How do blind people know when they're done wiping their ass?
About fell out of my chair on that one.
Took my wife - before I proposed to her - to see Schimmel at the Brea Improv. That was my fair warning to her what my sense of humor was. He killed that night. Absolutely dominated the room. A year later he was dead because of his daughter's reckless driving, which, I kid you not, he joked about at that performance.
The guy was the master indeed.
saw him before he was famous in a small room in vegas
found myself out there on convention in a town i hate and was just looking for anything to do besides wander casinos
maybe 50 people in the room and at which point he had reduced me to tears and had me falling off my chair i opened my eyes for a second
half the room was in my state and half in utter shock
his delivery was just exceptional
He was a genuinely kind man, too. I hung with dozens of comics in the late 80s & early 90s. Before Comedy Central turned standups into faux celebs & Netflix made them into ignorant political commentators... Schimmel talked after his gigs and was extremely normal. No pretense & no condescension. Brian Regan & Louis CK were also very gracious.
I look forward to a comedy night-out with my wife when this quarantine is over. Live comedy is a beautiful thing. Watching at home is ok but live is the best way.
Wow...I knew Louis CK, too! Used to attend the same weekly circle jerk. He never missed.
I'm sure a quarantine benefit show where you work alone without any coworkers would be a good cause that Louis CK might be the perfect opening act for.
