Yeah...watched a little of the Tor/TB game yesterday. TB with the same problems as always... I'll say one thing though...that guy Osuna looks great, man. Unhittable stuff.
Gammons: SF the team to beat...BUT it will be interesting to see what Arizona can do. Never even mentioned the Dodgers. I just don't get it. I sound like a broken record complaining about these predictions, but I genuinely don't get it.
Bumgarner looking terrible. Nice. Oh, wait, Leiter says he has the flu. So he's grinding I guess. Heart of a champion.
The Nats were beating the Mariners in the WS last year according to most analysts while the Royals weren't going .500. I'd be worried if they were picking the Dodgers.
I found the picks to win the WS last year: World Series NAME WINNER Aaron Boone Jim Bowden Jim Caple Alex Cora Jerry Crasnick Pedro Gomez Eric Karabell Jonah Keri Tim Kurkjian Buster Olney David Schoenfield Jon Sciambi Dan Shulman Jayson Stark Adnan Virk
First lineup of the season! Utley 4, Seager 6, Turner 5, Gonzalez 3, Puig 9, Crawford 7, Pederson 8, Ellis 2, Kershaw 1
Utley leading off is weird but I'm guessing it won't last if Crawford, Joc or Puig get hot? It's also funny that he's probably the Dodgers best base runner and he's like 56 years old
I would really like Puig leading off and only cause, maybe it's unfair but I feel better with him with bases empty starting the party and going wild rather then hitting behind Adrian trying to bring people in BUT: Seager, Turner, Adrian should be a fun 2-4
He hit the ball well again in spring. People knocked his numbers last year with the Dodgers, but he was and is still hitting the ball hard. If he avoids the "at'em" balls that plagued him down the stretch last year, he could be a great piece in the lineup.
It's also easy to sub him out for Enrique later in the game against a lefty, and Enrique is who you want up there against a lefty
Horrible. Only 5 out of 15 of those picks made the playoffs. 3 picks made the Division Series. 0 picks made the Championship Series. The pick that made it the farthest out of all those was the Dodgers.
There's still a chance the Gnats get the yips and lose. That would be an awesome start to the season.
I wanna see the matchups before I go crazy about it, but I'm pretty sure CC crushes Ross and rakes in SD in general, so maybe he should be leading off this game? Guess we'll have to hope he can lengthen the lineup drive Puig in
