Watson doesn't even have to be anything special to be better than Trashbisky. Or are you telling me that you would've traded all that for Trashbisky instead of just drafting Watson?
That rugby style TD was an excellent example of the Rams stupidly assisting Lynch with his forward progress. Lynch was slowed by the 3 Rams in front all pushing him back and towards the sideline, his progress faltering as the fellow Raiders rugby pushed from behind until a near stop...and then some Ram, #58 Littleton, dive bombs on top scrum style and the entire pile of 8 bodies instantly moves 3 yds forward. Dumb. Then the closeup shot of the front of the pile shows Ram Aqib Talib pulling with all his might to get the ball loose from Lynch and thus applying his own torque on the pile towards the line. Dumber. Falling down and tripping Lynch would have stopped progress but he held Lynch up by his sheer force of trying to rip the ball out rather than tackle the runner. All Lynch had to do was keep his feet long enough for the Rams to push him to the TD. Dumb and dumber, my old FB coach would be rolling over in his grave if he watched this crappy D. Raiders better win
Yep....big reason he came back to coaching was Derek Carr and boy wonder looked a lot like his brother last night. Afraid to get hit.
His brother wasn't afraid to get hit. He was shell shocked. Never had a chance behind that expansion team O line.
Chucky’s comment about trying to figure out why they couldn’t put pressure on the QB suggest irony is not something he understands very well.
DC may not even make it to Vegas, even if the RAIDERS go to Vegas early/next season. He may be preaching at somebody's church by next year and I'm not even joking. He seriously almost quit football to be a pastor a few years ago, admitted that. Said it before, big contract, but the way it was drawn up and with him taking less, they can easily drop DC after this season, so it wouldn't totally shock me. And who knows where his path will lead after that? He's that type of guy. But also, DC has been shell shocked in a way as well here in recent years. 1st the pinky dislocation on the throwing hand, which was terrible, but his fault. However, I haven't liked his deep ball accuracy since, so noted. And then the leg of course, which was in part his fault, but also his coordinator's and just everybody's overall mismanagement when it should have been a simple run play. And then last year he ends up with the broken bones in his back after a hit he probably could've avoided, so. Now, if we play the scenario out where DC never recovers and loses his gig, RAIDERS are then in an interesting situation with potentially some solid options or at least more than the usual. Lost list of guys could be out there, some just flat out bums but worth a shot. Jameis Winston, Jacoby Brissett, Bridgewater, Eli, Flacco, Tannehill, Foles, etc. All likely better than any of the options in the draft this year. The way Chucky has spun McKenzie's draft picks out of the org, DC cannot feel safe. But then maybe they'll want to give DC more than 1 year in a system for once and see what happens as well? One thing is certain, Chucky is not the one that's in trouble.
