Might be the most egotistical athlete I've ever seen in my life. Never seen a guy pat himself on the back as much as LeBron. Probably has a statue in his mansion of himself that he stares at for hours a day.
I never understood the Coach K hate from some. I gt it if you hate his success, or you pull for a conference rival. Me? I've always admired him and yet, I am not a Duke fan in anyway at all. I enjoyed his book Leading from the Heart as well. Superb work of personal growth and leadership development. Just curious. Why do you dislike him? Not arguing at all. I just really don't understand the antipathy.
I think some people just have problems with names that are classically phonetic if not literally so. The Phoenicians wrote in consonants but the Romans wanted to use vowels too and so they went to war. The mighty king of Tyre hath fallen and Babylon with it and so we are under the lore of the Caesar of the maritime kingdom of Rome. Mary's time has virtually no end in sight. It's roads the jets streaming to your shores. The time for seriousness is over. Time to have some fun. In the navy! I got my frogsuit at the ready. And in sharpening my harpoon. I will spot you the harmonic sum phonics if you spot me the long vowels. We make repository building to store classics in case video accidentally burning, yes comrade? LTRN.TV Everyday classics are made but quickly fade away into the maelstrom of fiery chaos. There is not much to do about such fires as they are everywhere in the underworld. On the surface though, we can still save water for when there's no rain. Do you law the lore I parley?
Just look at his speech afterwards. He threw his team under the bus and took 0 accountability for the loss. Those kids were under tremendous pressure to perform due to him announcing his retirement prior to the season. He's always been a very sore loser and can barely look other coaches in the eye after Duke loses. I felt like this farewell tour was just a way for K to have his already huge ego stroked. To each their own though....I think he's a guy you either love or dislike. I personally just think he is very fake like his buddy LeBron. Will admit that I am far from subjective when it comes to K as I went to UNC haha
Gotcha. Understand that. UNC is a solid school as well. Here in Kentucky, basketball is God and EVERYONE hates Coach K. I'm invited to a couple of NCAA Tourney BBQs next weekend and the week after. These folks here get into it. I'm trying to keep my head down . No need to piss off the Dixie Mafia.
I dislike him because he is as fake a person as it comes. He has carefully branded a public marketing image of himself as a management guru, good-guy in all the seedy college football corruption that goes on year after year, but he is no better than the rest of them. He has had a history of players that have done underhanded things which he says is unacceptable, and yet they are back on the court is a game or two…..whether it be stomping on a player while he’s flat on his back on the floor, to tripping other players multiple times with no consequences. His players have done a myriad of sneaky things and gotten away with it. He basically blackmailed Duke when the played rumors of being the Laker coach against the “only home he’s known” in Duke and got a massive increase in his salary, carte blanche in his program and the professorship, essentially giving himself tenure. He’s a Knight apologist that has employed the same “techniques” to “motivate” his players and gets away with it because no one, and I mean NO ONE, disagrees with coach K. I hate him as a coach, a person, and all the teams he’s ever coached….and a fair number of his players, college and now pro.
never loved or hated the guy but know he won lots of basketball games and Kobe wanted him as his coach so i give him the benefit of the doubt
You always speak truth to power, Gebb. I'll give you that. Well ... He's retiring now so that's got to make some of you folks happier. And I doubt he wins out for another title. I don't know who wins it all but the field seems more than his team can handle.
Kentucky has a great team this year and has as good of a chance at winning it all as anyone imo. Going to be some heavily invested people around you. I went to Rupp when I was a kid and I've never seen people care more about a sporting event in all of my life. UK fans live and die by their basketball team.
Not to beat a dead horse when it comes to K but his incident in 2016 with Oregon opened the eyes of a lot of people. https://www.espn.com/mens-college-b...ogizes-postgame-comments-oregon-dillon-brooks
so the flakers reach a new low tonight losing to the worst team in the league had the misfortune of watching the last couple of minutes what a dumpster fire
Nah, it all starts and ends with Jeannie Buss. This is her ship, this is how she wanted it ran, she is the one that needs to fix it, nobody else.
yeah i agree^ none of this goes down if she doesn't give him and pelinki that power the AD trade works if dude could stay healthy but man did they screw the pooch w the westbrook trade i was excited to watch him play but his game is really fucked atm and a guy like anthony on the floor late is just stupid
https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=http...muI-QI6fSkAWpjgrFLVNxPrZrIpRTbqFUidizE0ToflYw This is why I don’t follow this team. Used to be my favorite sport & franchise. I knew once Dr Buss died and then LeBron, fuck them and their China loving asses.
Welp ... The Hokies beat the Blue Devils and must have made a few dudes here happy. I watched that game. VT caught some fuckin breaks. What a win for them.
Lol. @TomBrady These past two months I’ve realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it’s not now. I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. They make it all possible. I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. Unfinished business LFG
