We're gonna have to cool off, no? We do play mostly below .500 teams though so we could reach the century mark...but I think law of averages say we're gonna have to drop some games. Nothing would surprise me though.
I think 25-10 is realistic for the rest of the way considering we play 22 games against the Rockies, Padres, Cubs, Giants. We have 3 with Boston and 3 with Cincy, 7 with AZ.
26 games left .500 baseball is 95 wins If we win 5 more games than we lose from here on out we reach the century mark. It's possible. The D'Bags, Cockies, and VaGiants will play us tough though. I say 98 wins.
That's entirely possible with the schedule remaining, aside from the Reds we play teams more or less out of it.
At this point finishing 18-7 doesn't seem so far fetched... and the century mark is always a good thing so I'll chime in with an even 100 wins to close the regular season
Lineups like today and starting Volquez tomorrow show Donny is already mailing it in, they'll get to 96 and have it be just enough to host the central winner.
More important to me than hitting the century mark is how far back SF ends up. If the defending champs finish 30 back after we spotted them all of April and May, I guarantee all of my Gnat fan buddies here in the Bay Area will hear about it.
