    the last thing i wanna do is look like i'm defending Ned, but Adrian/Hanley/Crawford/Beckett..i'm just sayin he's a made a couple moves on occasion that have helped us. maybe no mid-season trades as of late, but there was " Mannywood ". we all hate Ned tho because he misses most times.

    that's fine. seems as though we can't count on Ryu to handle a true MLB work load, so Haren will come in handy..he's pitched well during key stretches for us. if he's not pitching well to start the year the Giants' lead would've probably been bigger and he's obviously been good down the stretch here. if he's our #5 next year, cool. if he has to be bumped up to #4 because Ryu or somebody else is out, cool. if we have to use him as our #3 this year in the post season..well, at least he has experience..score some runs and give him a lead. rather have him out there than Nolasco.

    I think it sucks. I mean, it's a problem for another day but what a shitty contract by Ned (again!)

    He has the 17th worst ERA out of qualified starters this year, and the 18th worst FIP. Next year he is another year older and not getting any better. The timing of his good games obscures the fact that he didn't have a good year at all. Hopefully he does well in his next starts as they are extremely important but it won't change the fact that having him pitch every 5th day for the Dodgers in 2015 for 10$ million is less then ideal and gonna be a hole on this team

    i'll accept all of that from a #5 starter. just upgrade the 2nd or 3rd spot in the rotation and move Ryu back to 4th and keep it movin. the only problem i'd have is if Haren's presence were hindering Urias' promotion, but that's not the case, so it is what it is. i'm far more worried about the Brian Wilson contract. hell, Haren might be in Maholm's position next year and be a flex/6th starter. who knows..you can't predict health either. we've gone into the last couple seasons thinking we have too many arms, only to still wind up needing arms during those very seasons. fuck it..i'll take Haren if it means i don't have to watch Frias next year.

    For those outside of LA (like myself), the ESPN games on tuesday and wednesday won't be blacked out in the rest of CA, nor AZ or NV.

    I feel exactly the same way man. Both of those championships happened while I was in high school in the North Bay, and I'm not exactly one of those "fans" that hide out. It was absolutely the worst, especially seeing all the pussy bandwagoners pop up all over the place. If we were to knock them out of the playoffs, either now or in the actual thing, that would be fucking SWEET. Obviously it wouldn't compare to two World Series', but its a different kind of bragging rights.

    The KDOC broadcasts begin at 6:30 and end at 10:30 according to the listings. Assuming they're putting the pregame on the front end and the post game on the back end, which is great considering there could be a celebration to cover.

    i don't harbor a lot of hatred toward the angels
    but a lot of their fans are douchebags -- especially the bandwagon ones
    my gf has been an angel fan for years so i get/have to watch a lot of their games

    as for the pads, meh
    but i love them right now for sweeping the gnats

    the d'bags, on the other hand, are a different matter entitely
    i despise them and the way they play the game
    gibson ordering kennedy to throw at puig and zack's heads is despicable and unforgivable
    but their douchebag players (like montero) are quick to dismiss it, and yet get all pissy when we jump in their pool to celebrate
    fucken hypocrite ckunts
    and their star goldschmidt -- a legitimately good player -- seems like a whiny cunt as well


    i despise them as well and always will
    but i also respect what they've accomplished
    bochy gets the most out of his players and gets them to play as a collective unit
    that said... i would shed no tears if they never won another game for the next 100 years
