Kasten has a history of building stadiums. I'm wondering if they have avoided being tied down to the ravine contractually and are, if fact, planning a new Dodgers Stadium. That would explain the continued ties with McCourt - if it is all somewhat temporary. Four or five years of planning and construction and adios asshole.

Of the many current articles about the purchase the one I liked the most was about the fact that as a business deal the purchase price didn't make sense. The financial return just isn't there. Walters said we didn't do this because we wanted to make money we did it because we wanted to be the owners of the Dodgers and I wany my grand daughter to own the Dodgers and we want to be part of a winning Dodger franchise. Make me think it was spending money on expensive art not because of appreciation but because you wanted to be the one to share it with the world.
Diablo, posted a great article. I started a thread outside of the Dodger forum because there is another side to all of this that could result in Frank suing MLB. Obviously if the franchise sold for 2 billion and Frank profited 1 billion he can probably successfully argue that there was no need to declare bankruptcy and that he only did so because MLB wrongly interrupted his right to exercise control of the equity in the Dodgers. Based on a sale value of 2 billion the franchise under McCourt was not over leveraged by MLB guidelines.
Not sure about this but some of you guys may remember a couple of the links I posted about ticket sales having been collatarilized and there being contractual obligations saying the team couldn't be sold. This may be away of working around something like this.
Currently I am a bikini inspector monitoring the local beach to see if the ladies comply with local codes. Seriously I am retired and am now working on 4 plus years of bliss plus.
Not to get romantic and emotional, but do you guys get the feeling sometimes that maybe this whole Magic being our new owner is a huge troll and it really isn't him that's going to be our owner? I get that feeling sometimes lol
