    People constantly bring up SF's run last year to defend our record vs top tier teams, but the Giants have won 3 WS in 5 years....I don't understand comparing us to them.

    I'm sure having a manager with 2 WS and players apart of those titles helped them in the playoffs- we have neither.

    Yeah, the Giants have shown the ability to rise up and beat good teams in the post and the Dodgers haven't done that, so of course fans wanna see them beat good teams right now.

    When they beat the Nats the other week, when the Nats were without Werth/Zimm/Rendon/Span, many LAD fans wanted to celebrate the shit just based on them beating a team with a decent record even if that team wasn't healthy. Now 3 of those guys are back in the Nats' lineup...Dodgers are lucky to be at home right now.

    Simply, I just think it's the Dodger way...and I'm not being faceatious here at all.
    Last year, look at what we had...the MVP, the ERA champ, the best #2 in ML, the RBI top gun, the ML stolen base leader, top three in team ERA, division winner, and so on.
    And what did we do?
    Lost it in the post like we always do. We ARE a culture of posers/losers.
    It just our way.
    The FO we have is perfect for the way we are "constructed"...

    Who would've thought, at the start of last year, that at this time we would be desperately waiting for Justin Turner to return from the DL to bat 3rd.

    There might actually be some truth in this. I was shocked when he confessed to the media that he didn't know what to do in the 7th and 8th innings. But the other night as Johnson was melting down, that actually looked to be the case. Instead of doing something like bringing in Howell, he just sat there with a glazed over look. I like Donnie and was hoping he could help lead us to the promised land, but I am now beginning to believe he is not the man for that job.
