thanks for clearing that up; I , of course did not know that. But I was not wondering how to get to be one, just who /what they are. I've been on other websites, and have been told, for example, by the superior ones (they are everywhere, you see), that I was not a Dodger fan because I once questioned Brad Penny and his demeanor out there. DSP is the best, but the "the Watchers' are here, too. I wonder who the "sluts" are?
Yep, you're dumber than a bag of hammers. Can't go back to ESPN, because it's belly up, ...which would be the 'reasons most of us don't go there'. Thanks for playing.
Every message board has it's own vernacular or common forms of meme/cliche. At ESPN the Dodger fans used things like "whose are closer" and "Teh sky is falling!"(spelling 'the' as 'teh' was intentional, in case there is a question). Here at DSP the most common thing I've seen is putting a "k" as the second letter of derogatory or curse words such as in "bkitches, fkag, ckocksucker, " etc. There is no difference, other than your lack of comprehension. What I especially love is the name calling and 'calling out' of a poster because of your own lack of understanding. By all means, let's all mock what we don't understand, is there any more direct method to display a lack of intelligence? I think perhaps not. Btw, I'm shocked...SHOCKED, I tell you, that you disagree with someone on an almost daily basis. Who'da thunk it?
One thing though, the espn lingo will most likely not garner any "oh I get it it's an inside joke thing" if it sounds dumb someone will say something. Which is not a bad thing being espn and all.
Sure you can, go to any article, scroll to the bottom and there is a comment section.......just like there has always been. It doesn't get the use it once did because you have to log in through a Facebook account but I seriously doubt you've all come here because there is so much more activity.
Oh I understand it, it's just fucking stupid. I'm also not the only one who mocked it. Scroll back through this thread. I'm just the only one who had pushed the issue. I also bitch about the bkitch thing around here too but that all started with mocking hotruca. Does my complaint stop it? Absolutely not, nor will it stop this thread but don't give some fucking childish answer of " he did it too" in once again defending your right to be stupid. Just assert your right and move on because defending it is useless.
The hotruca stuff is similar to the "teh" thing. I don't like it when folks make fun of women, I think it's a knock on a dudes manlyness to rag on a.chick, but that's why folks put the k everywhere. She was always doing probably on accident. I used to type teh on accident a lot, then I stopped correcting myself because it was a normal internet thing that people type teh cuz of fat fingers. It's not an inside joke if it's prevalent all over internet since 90s. Let me "axe" you a question is the vocal equivalent. espn guys will become part of dsp like everyone else that come exiting an over controlled forum.
Dear valued dsp member, while the poster made a bad call trying to pass off foreign lingo, your response was rather douchey.
No argument there.......like I said in a previous post in this thread, that's why I love this site. One can say what they want with no more reprisal than being called out on it.
WTF? I'll say it slowly, and maybe you'll understand. The ESPN message boards no longer exist. Yes, you can comment on articles, and you can comment on articles on many, many other web sites, BUT THERE IS NO LONGER A MESSAGE BOARD. The reason we all came here is BECAUSE THE ESPN BOARDS NO LONGER EXIST. Am I moving to fast for you? We're not talking about article comments, we're talking about message boards, get it?
I agree 100%, but it should not garner any "you're an imbecile" comments either. If you don't understand, then ask, as a couple of posters did.
