I already got fooled at work this morning when an employee told me there was a snake in their office. Of course, I didn't even realize it was April 1st and freaked out. When it comes to snakes, I'm a huge pussy.
No Matt Kemp as Dodgers prepare to host Padres in season opener By Eric Stephen on Mar 31, 2015 San Diego.CA. -- There will be no Matt Kemp at Dodger Stadium on opening day in what was a shock to most in both organizations. His last 10 days of the Spring included three games followed by an off day, then two on followed by one off, followed by games the last two days. With the off season shocker of Kemp having degenerative hips almost killing the blockbuster trade that ended up changing the entire face of the NL West, the Padres took a gentle approach with their star outfielder. Unfortunately, on Monday evening Kemp admitted to having some soreness in his left hip. After a series of MRI's, it was discovered that inflammation had developed in the hip in question. Some felt it was due to his over working at certain times because of what he felt was lack of playing time to get ready for the new season. Manager Bud Black spoke briefly saying "it's very disappointing but all we can do is listen to the doctors, trainers and most importantly Matt. We were taking it one day at a time this Spring but with this new development, I felt giving him some time off early can only help and we as a team think one series should be enough and then re-evaluate his condition and hope he is ready for the home opener. We knew when we got him that he was soft and without getting too personal, he has spent a little too much of his free time making friendly with Carlos (Quentin) and taking late night trips to Club Diesel together. I'm really looking forward to getting back into California this weekend so we can focus on the task at hand. Which is winning the World Series."
