    Yeah, I hope we can get someone on the cheap. Taxes are going up here in NJ, so I can't foot the bill so well anymore for these signings.
    So, let it slow down eventually...we all know what Friedman was hired for in the long run. Like he did before...only thing different this time he doesn't have the manager to pull it off as in Tampa.
    He won't sign the star players with any age on them again- it is not his MO.
    Or certainly hasn't been.
    That's why , IMO, there IS a window on the LAD in the near future for a championship.

    Yea, I based the package off of what the Reds got for Cueto. Hell, maybe we could switch out Verdugo for Van Slyke?!

    that is definitely more than what the Reds got for Cueto. KC's farm system really doesn't compare to ours. Mainly because all their guys came up a few years ago with Hosmer, Moustakas, Perez, Holland, Herrera, etc.

    Those Tiger idiots are 11.5 games back in their division and 4 games back in the wildcard with a bunch of other teams they have to hope will continue to lose.

    What are they thinking?

    I think this has more to do with rehabilitating Detroit's morale than good baseball decisions

    4 games back of the wild card really is nothing. That is what they are thinking. Need Tampa to take 2/3 at least and Minnesota and Houston to win lots. Problem is Minnesota is playing Pittsburgh and Houston vs Anaheim. Playoffs are with in reach for Detroit.
