    Well, the board is right. He's a great pitcher. If our FO had based their interest on Greinke's post season performance we would've never gotten him because again, he gave up 12 runs in 16 innings in Milwaukee.

    Zimmermann gets 150 mil easily. if they're keeping Greinke and getting another top line guy, it might as well be Price.

    I agree. But replace Zimmerman with Leake or someone similar, doubt if they would want to give up their pick for Zimmerman.

    I don't think Jordan gets that based on his season this year. Assuming Zack is true to his quotes about him liking it here the projected rotation assuming your scenario will be Clayton, Zach, Ryu, Price, Zimmerman? Unless you are assuming we trade guys like Wood, Urias, McCarthy then you'll be right but that's not happening.

    Pretty much. He already had the Tommy John background..his performance this year didn't do him any favors.

    He's probably worth around what Shields got on the AAV. I could see him getting 90M over 5yrs..maybe 100. 150? Hell nah. A 6yr commitment for him is a long one. He's 29, but the TJ background. He'll ask for 6 and probably get 5. Maybe get a player option after the 3rd year.

    It's my prediction and I am 100% certain he goes to the Cubs. Joe Maddon is there. You got Arrieta and Lester already there so the rotation with him would be incredible. The everyday line-up is still young and raking. Add to that the fact that the Cub fans are arguable one of the most rabid = the Price is right.

    But will Mr. Walter do. Wood is under team control and the FO hasn't even seen McCarthy for more than 3 or 4 months plus they signed him, not a holdover.

    i understand wood and mehcarthy are under control
    so was league, so was wilson
    not saying you DFA them; especially with wood so cash friendly and mehcarthy with three years left (smh)
    was more of a tongue-in-cheek statement since our latest failure is still fresh

    joe maddon may be there, but freidman is here
    you say arrieta/lester/price would be incredible
    i say kersh/zack/price would be better
    cubs fans may be rabid, but they have no say in what their FO does
