i haven't said anything because i think its been going on for a while and i don't know the whole story but it seems to me the guy is just doing his best to annoy on every level its pretty silly but i won't miss the sig for a few days
no, there's more to it he was warned repeatedly [and not just by me] for being a douche and, like diablo said, went out of his way to be disruptive when was the last time he posted something relevant, and not something just to did you not notice him (also) bumping your argument thread with (then) b2b? you guys fought like cats and dogs back then, but thankfully that stopped and the thread had been inactive for nearly 17 months why re-open it if not to try and stir up shit? as for mocking me, you obviously missed his rant about me merging one of his threads and i quote... "I made a thread but some censorship driven, book burning, anti American, Nazi butt hurting faggot deleted it. So I'm going to be gone by opening day. This place is the new ESPN." if i were that sensitive i would have banned (or at least warned) him then but i didn't do either i figured he was just being pissy and would get over it but it not only persisted, it escalated you can disagree with me merging threads if you like but as far as moderation goes, you'd have to admit dsp is pretty lax and a side note... i'm disappointed by your choice of smileys when there are others that would have been much more effective :lowscore: :lairmob: :mob:
He was warned multiple times for bumping threads. When he mocked irish he, in effect, bumped the thread again. This is a message board. And as a message board the main function is communication. Behavior that severely disrupts desired communications threatens the entire fabric of the board itself. Bumping irrelevant threads from years ago fits in that mold. What if 30+ users decided to randomly bump irrelevant threads? It wouldn't work. "Being bored" is an ok reason to bump a thread now and then. But to do so constantly while making yourself a nuisance in other ways (ie. Ridiculously long signatures and incorrectly accusing the mods of censorship) well... If you insist on playing in the middle of the freeway, eventually you'll get hit by a car. A 3 day ban is nothing in the grand scheme of things anyway - a mere slap on the wrist. Koufax is a grown boy who was clearly baiting for this kind of response. Screw him.
You can set xenforo not to display users' sigs in your preferences menu. I have it that way because I get sick of seeing the same images over and over again. If you guys want, I can limit the size, number of characters, number of lines, number/size of images, etc for signatures based on individual users or for everyone.
i block sigs on my phone but not my laptop i don't think we should limit the signature capabilities of the masses because of one idiot abuser let's give him the opportunity to not be a dickhead when he returns if he continues abusing it then we can limit his capabilities
I'm surprised you guys actually have signatures on. I always read DSP in class or wherever, and the last thing the people behind me need to see is me scrolling through Jamey McCourt or Nancy Bea PhotoShopped onto some prostitute's body.
I really should change my settings. Like irish said, I don't think we need to set limits because of one user. Other sites limit signatures and that's just as annoying.

My phone blocked them for me, I never set anything on it. lol. FWIW, as soon as he made the Piazza sig I said something and ignored him. I saw others complain about his sig too and, to his non-nazi credit, Irish never took it out.
Don't want this to turn into a whole big thing, just wanna say my peace (or piece). I saw the bump of the thread a2n vs. codge, but it appears you've swept that under the carpet. The Hairston/Dodgers thread that you saw as a pointless bump was to me a commentary on the level of free agents the Dodgers recently signed. I may be wrong but I think Koufax was bumping a pointless signing thread as commentary on signing lesser FA's like Utley, Kazmir, and Maeda as opposed to guys like Kendrick, Grienke, and Price. As for trying to stir up shit between me and a2n, I'm not going for it. If he wants to stir up shit with me he knows how to go about it...directly. A little history lesson, he and I go waaay back on the ESPN board and by comparison me vs. a2n was some pretty mild sauce. We bumped heads more than the Four Horseman. If he and I weren't arguing about something the board was a pretty dull place. We disagree on just about everything, except possibly boobs. Over the years we came to understand each other, tolerate, and even respect each other. I got mad love for Koufax even though he can be as irritating as hemmrhoids. As for posting relevant shit, hell I don't do a whole lot of that either-I post a lot of nonesense, smart ass, one-liner, just stuff for a laugh shit. Relevant or not, I think his random thoughts thread was worthwhile. No, I didn't miss his rant on censorship, I even commented on it later in the thread. Yes moderation here is pretty lax and I like that. But the thread merging/starting/stopping thing is pretty aggravating and it does remind some of us ESPN'rs of the idiot moderation of that board. For my part, I don't see why we just can't leave posts lie whereever they land. Threads die of their own natural causes, no need to end them. Especially just to start another one with a similar if not same theme. My . As for my smilie choices, I was going for the conservative yet pointed angle. From my perspective this was blown out of proportion. He certainly went over the top on the sig line, and escalated when the commentary turned up the volume. That's just Koufax being Koufax, he likes to change his shit up and he would have tired of it soon enough. The rest was mostly silly shit. I'm done with this and moving on, just wanted to post my thoughts. He's serving his sentence, and I have no doubt this will not be his last transgression cause he won't let it lie and come back with his tail between his legs. He ain't built that way.
