May1st I start going to games. Over the last three years I went to one game, tickets were given to me by a client, and didn't spend a dime on anything there. Can't wait to go back. Feels great!
I dont think that a lot of more info on that will come, but they will have the bus that will take people to the park
idk i kind of think thats a question that keeps getting asked. the bus is a nice option for sure and i know plenty of places to park outside and walk in one way for sure we will KNOW it has transferred out of mccunts hands is if the price was actually reduced
As far as my public transportation needs go - I will require the high speed rail to Las Vegas to get completed.
My sense of it all is that Frank is out of the picture with parking revenues and running the parking lot. He retains interest in ownership of the land and when it gets developed for a football stadium, shopping or what ever he will get another payout on the new use of the land whether leased, rented or sold.
My girlfriend got my tickets from stubhub so I'm going the 13th of April but I'll go via bus (which has more to do with me not having a car then being a protestor lol) But I want to go in May, specifically the first series against those faggots up north
Nolan Ryan isn't the majority owner of the Rangers but he is the face of the franchise. Dodgers will probably be the same way with Magic projected as owner. Think about it which of the following four is the ugliest possible face of a franchise: Nolan Ryan Frank McCourt Magic J Mrs McCourt aka Jamie
Excellent article on the economics/finance implications of the Dodgers sale. Discusses the increasing role of private equity in professional sports. http://www.forbes.com/sites/sportsm...geles-dodgers-bid-price-isnt-such-a-surprise/
It makes plenty of sense when you consider that it's just Monopoly money for the equity funds. These are the funds that benefitted from all the Wall St. theft and they have to do 'something' with all that coin... Not picking on Guggenheim but the entire category of equity funds and their BS 'derivitives'...
i don't know it we won't be in contention for the nlwest or wildcard but there is little hope of moving beyond
They are hopelessly bad. Shame on me for thinking the second half of last season gave hope. There is no way. May 1st will be the highlight of the entire season.
Think about it this way.... You can own the Dodgers, Dodgers Stadium, the parking lots, naming rights, cable money and make money from proceeds FOREVER OR Have 10 Joey Votto's for 10 years . . . . . Just thought it was important to look at things in a different way and emphasize the fact that this is a great franchise and market dictates the price.
