Don't be surprised at a rain delayed, nasty kind of game tonight. The whole tri state atea is looking pretty threatened, and the temperature is in the ninties, high humidity, and just horrible. For anything. Streets are empty.
Reddick with three 2 hit games in the last 4 games. Would be nice if he gets rolling....poor start could have had a lot to do with nerves of joining a new team, hopefully.
I'm okay with us having as many days off as possible with our ten million pitching injuries & JT's injury.
With the way things have gone, I'll root for all 3 games to get canceled cause that could increase our chances to land in first place
If we even play... 2B Utley SS Seager 3B Turner RF Reddick 1B Gonzalez C Grandal CF Pederson LF Kendrick RHP Maeda
Aside from rampant finookism, I wish it was 65 ° here. This sucks, and it's every day. You hear me? EVERY FUCKING DAY!!!!
Well, just got a severe thunderstorm warning for all western NJ and eastern PA, so it looks dodgey for the next 3/4 hours in Philadelphia, too.
Come on down here, where the heat index has varied between 100 and 108 for the last 3 fucking weeks. Oh, and the thunderstorms that cool things off at least for a little while? They've been bypassing us, we got squat the last two weeks. 'Hot in Cleveland'? You don't know shit.
Its not as nice as it is here in SoCal where a red alert means that the brush on the side of the freeway can and will spontaneously combust for the next 3 days. I drove to Brea to pick someone up last night down the 57 and less than an hour later on the way back I had to detour on the 10 towards Covina because the hill on the side of the freeway was on fire. I had just driven by there half an hour earlier and it was fine. All of a sudden the freeway is packed with bomberos and the hills are on fire.
