That is a lot for the Hi-A hitter friendly environment. Would love to see him correct it as it was not nearly the issue last season as it is this year, so hopefully it was something they tweaked and he can get more comfortable as he adjusts.
He's only 21 so he's got some time Kendall also 21yrs old It'll be interesing, not that their gunning for the same position or anything like that Hoping both make it and present the club with more " problems "
LOL, I was a fan of Werth until he got into it with Rockies fans who started a "Werth-less" chant. Dude acted like a giant baby and kept flipping off all the fans from LF all the way down the 3B line.
KLaw mid season top 50 11. Walker Buehler, RHP, Los Angeles Dodgers The Dodgers have been appropriately aggressive with Buehler, who is 22 with multiple plus pitches and plus command but is probably going to hit an innings cap later this summer since it's his first full season pitching after 2015 Tommy John surgery. The only real knock here is durability -- between the operation and his slight build, there's some reason to think he's not a 200-inning starter, but his stuff is just so good and his feel so advanced that it seems like nitpicking. ***** 12. Alex Verdugo, OF, Los Angeles Dodgers It's an unconventional approach, but it's working -- Verdugo is hitting .346/.416/.463 as the youngest regular in the Pacific Coast League (Triple-A), ranking fourth among qualifiers in average and OBP. He's going to force the Dodgers' hand at some point, now that Chris Taylor's bat is coming back to earth. ***** 28. Yadier Alvarez, RHP, Los Angeles Dodgers Alvarez ranks up there with Kopech among starters with the best stuff in the minors, but Alvarez doesn't miss as many bats as he should and his conditioning has been a problem this year.
He and Sickels are I believe the two ultra high guys on Verdugo. He bases a lot of his info aside from his own eye on what he hears from scouts and execs from teams around the league. Nice to see him so high on a couple of our guys.
Hey they gave it a shot lol. You have to remember who is in charge or is heavily involved in the Padres organization and that's our old friend Logan White.
Uncharacteristically bad outing for Walker Buehler tonight. 3 2/3 4 hits and 4 earned but the home plate umpire was really inconsistent with the strike zone for both teams. Corey Copping a 31st round pick in 2015 with a very good season so far got his 9th save.
