Idk, maybe stats won't bear me out, but it seems like Forsythe comes up to the plate a prodigious amount with RISP, or game on the line situation. I think if he must play, and he must, I guess, he stay buried at the 8 spot, or maybe ninth is better. We have had some real weak ass displays lately at timely hits, from many indeed, but LF just standing there, for fans anyway, is just so lame and submissive.
Yeah, but Bellinger may take a while to get right...hope not, but probably unfair to expect him to stop this slide, if it can be termed a slide. Maybe one of the reasons he has done what he has, is because the whole lineup contributed. I hope this is not on his shoulders alone, which seems to be the case on somebody, every damn year, without fail. This is what our long lived failure hath wrought, perhaps. And, it does stand up and smack you in the mouth who we are losing too. If a team has a good lineup, or a decent pitcher, moist of the time, we just roll over. Troubling.
hate to be the bearer of bad news but we're probably getting swept robbie ray is really good and zack, well, is zack
His presence alone may help. And he did hit a 3 run homerun last night in the AZ league. Yeah it's the AZ league but positive results are positive results. Especially when he hasn't seen live pitching in almost 2 weeks. I think all in all we all figured we'd hit a funk at some point this season. Rather it be now than October
Yeah, I don't think it is coincidental that the whole team has fallen into a funk once the lineups started getting juggled around and regulars started getting more and more time off. I feel that a lot this has to do with guys being taken out of rhythm a bit. I want them to all be healthy for the postseason, but resting a regular every 3 or so days is probably not doing them many favors. I hope the plan in September is to come out with the regular starting lineup everyday and then do line changes in the 5-6th innings.
everyone knows that roses really smell like poo-oo-oo seriously though a little slump was inevitable and hill got lit up in the first inning i ended up in a bar w about 40 people all on the edge of their seats as we almost did it again i really thought we were getting blown out the swings will come around and i don't think we're pressing just yet lets talk end of the week
i'm okay with slumping now so long as we don't turn into the '51 or '62 dodgers and i think yesterday's loss, while painful, had a lot of positives the pen (except one bad pitch from stripling) was stellar and although our comeback fell short, we were able to put more doubt into rodney's head so yeah, bummed but not suicidal (yet)
So Cody back at 1st based on those stats. Wonder if Yasiel plays? Horrible vs lefties. The answer is:
I think you could give Fraudny 50 tries and he couldn't hit the spot he hit for strike three on Granderson again. Definitely pulled it out of his ass.
agreed that was a million dollar pitch perfectly placed couldn't do it again if he tried Blind squirrels and acorns sympathize with this.
This 'slide' is just a little unfortunate. You have a hot, young side playing as well as anyone in history. You bring back Gonzalez, then you add Granderson. Two guys who have been around forever, and have never won shit, and are fucking boring. The other veterans like Turner ooze charisma, Chase knows a good time behind the scenes as told by Orel and Joe. I know you can't pin this one two players, but as a fan my energy was sapped when these guys appeared again. Add Ethier to the mix and I even lose more interest. I simply don't want or care about Gonzalez and Granderson. It almost seems like the team is flat and mimic my sentiments. Should be Verdugo instead of Curtis. Add to the fun-to-watch young guys, not remove Joc for a Jocish 36 year old. I thought this f.o would be smarter than the same old veteran shit. Obviously not.
