They felt the offseason would be what Hill needed to let the blister fully heal, but after he experienced issues again he changed his CB grip and it seems to have helped. Blisters became a legit epidemic earlier in the season and a lot of folks were blaming the balls. I have not seen anybody else in a couple months really dealing with the issue besides McCarthy, but the rumors are that it is pretty nasty. He keeps trying to pitch through it. then it pops and he can't properly grip any of his pitches again.

Walker Buehler is up and Fabio Castillo has been DFA'd. Feel bad for the guy as the Dodgers did not want to lose him to Japan so they added him to the 40 man where he sat in AAA all season, got two innings of relief and then is DFA'd, that's shitty.

You made a thread about it because he had a funny twitter account, from memory. I hated it from day one, and still hate that bum to this day. Good example as to why @VRP is a vastly superior poster than you. He supported Chris Taylor, you supported this idiot.

I did. And I thought his Twitter skills would translate to the field. I'm leaving this blemish off my GM resumé, and if you can please don't mention it if someone calls you for a reference.

I'm kidding. You aren't listed as a reference on my GM resumé. Mostly because I don't know the telephone code for New Zealand. Is it +007A?

I was in the midst of writing a decent tirade in the game thread about the way to handle the roster, but came across something that I think the team should really start to consider. I want Verdugo to get more AB's in CF, but the truth is that he may just be out of gas at this point so CF may need to be Taylors for the rest of the season.

It is probably time for the team to look at moving Barnes to 2B for the remainder of the year to see how he looks. I have no problem having Farmer on the bench in the playoffs if it means Barnes is at 2B putting up the numbers he has this season. When Barnes has started, he is hitting a triple slash line of .284/.406/.504, which comes out to a .909 OPS. He has a BB/K ratio of 26/24 and that K% comes out to 14% of the time. These are the numbers that Forsythe was supposed to put up, but has come nowhere near. With AGon and Ethier looking more and more likely as not to be making the postseason roster, Farmer becomes all that much more needed as the replacement. The one saving grace for Forsythe this season is that his D at the position has not slumped, while not being elite, it is still good and his versatility helps. Barnes however, has rated better defensively, admittedly in a small sample size, at the position. He doesn't need to continue to produce at a .900+ clip, but even at .800 he's a considerable upgrade to Forsythe's .677 and Utley's .713. The argument should not be for Barnes becoming the starting C, the argument should be that Barnes should be starting at 2B.

I know you remember when yours truly mentioned Doc's comments about how they like Taylor and Kike in CF, so maybe that's been their play all along, or at least since Joc coughed up the job.
However, now, they're saying 2B is between Logie Bear and Silver Fox..although, I hope Sam Barnes gets a crack @ it
I would say Sam is the best option

Despite their recent success over the current NL West leaders, Diamondbacks catcher Chris Iannetta still championed the Dodgers as the best team, via Steve Gilbert of MLB.com:

“They’re the best team in baseball,” catcher Chris Iannetta said. “They’ve been the best team all year. They’re a great team from top to bottom. It’s one of the toughest lineups in baseball to work through. Their pitching staff is great. They’re the best team in baseball for a reason. We’re just happy to get some wins.”

Our very own @Rubricon has been lobbying for Barnes as well, ever since he found out Villar is no good.

Just suck his dick already, you don't have to keep trying to be nice to him. We all know you want it.
