I don't appreciate the way this 4th quarter has started. They only need like 3 or 4 baskets to put this shit completely out of reach They could score 9 points in the 4th and win this shit
Yeah them playing D is on the down low don't you know. Concentration and determined effort are not big on ESPN highlight reels
And that they did. Streaky shooting LAL from the 3. Memphis picked the wrong day to try that zone shit
Top 10 in defensive efficiency. Top 10 in scoring. A 10-4 record against teams that are .500 or better. If it's even possible, which I doubt, I actually wouldn't mind the thought of LAL flying below the radar. But yeah, that's pretty much impossible, and the world is waiting for the Anthony Davis trade to boot. Given his ankle injury, and with December 15th around the corner, sucks to say, but I wouldn't be shocked if we never saw Ingram in a LAL uni again.
So LAL is trying to trade for Ariza Does he get his old #3 from Hart? Must be for KCP and maybe Zu or something
Why would MGT trade KPC for Ariza? Yeah his rebounds and assists are better but he is going to block the young guys like Kuz, Hart, and Mykh. Plus MGT would be taking on more salary as Ariza is makin 15 vs KPC making 12. I don't see where this almost lateral move makes this team any better.
Ariza has pedigree KFC doesn't and does well against Durant i don't think he'll block anyone as much as they will develop watching him do his thing i welcome those long arms getting back on defense
On this date in 1977........ http://www.espn.com/video/clip?id=21693564 Great book by John Feinstein on the incident and its aftermath. https://www.amazon.com/Punch-Night-Changed-Basketball-Forever-ebook/dp/B000FA5U7I
Ariza's 34 years old and has played a ton of basketball, so hopefully he's still fresh enough to bring the right energy late in the year. Especially for a club that runs a bunch. Ariza does bring a toughness that KCP has yet to really display and he's obviously battle tested, I just hope he isn't past his window physically. I doubt Ariza can still move and maneuver around screens the way he used to, or on the level of a KCP right now. He seems to be passable at this point, though. KCP is still just 25 yrs old and to be fair, he's played better than Ariza this season. And then of course, KCP might be the best free throw shooter in the NBA right now and is basically the designated late free throw shooter for this team, so hopefully they're ready to step up to the free throw line as a team and stop acting like bitches. It's quite embarrassing for them to shoot the way they do at the free throw line..especially LeBron, it makes him look fragile mentally. But this is a potential swap that's good for KCP, as he lands in a place where they'll give him a multi-year contract. Feels like a deal where everybody could benefit, but it also blocks a trade for AD since KCP's contract is pivotal in making a deal..unless LAL does give up Zo.
Looks like KCP would go to a 3rd team. A small upgrade, if one at all, so I pretty much agree. But Ariza can switch defensively a little more effectively than KCP can because of his size advantage. Of course, Ariza is more familiar to fans, but the potential deal isn't all that great in the way of actual immediate production/performance. Certainly not great if it hinders their ability to do the best deal for AD, but I imagine they're helping Rich Paul in some form or fashion as well here and he sort of controls the AD situation, so.... I guess we can hope Ariza is rejuvenated with LAL/LeBron if it goes down, but Woj says this could be part of a bigger trade too. Plenty of rumors ahead with Dec. 15th around the corner
Some in the media speculating.. Lakers - Ariza Suns - Markelle Fultz/filler Sixers - KCP Sixers had interest in KCP about a month ago, also a team Rich Paul is sort of puppeteering since Ben Simmons is another one of his clients
