KD's injury looks baaaad. Calf look like it exploded, looking like a full blown Achilles tear. Dude won't be the same again
Woj has become Don King since inking with BSPN. He knew all along that Kyrie wasn't staying in Boston and that they wouldn't be shipping Tatum and other pieces for AD, but for the sake of NBA drama he had to pump up and promote AD/Celtics. I'm starting to follow Shams more than Woj. Vegas having LAL as the favorites for AD speaks as well. Guess we'll see what happens pretty damn soon. Wouldn't even really shock me if they already had a deal in place and are just waiting for the Finals to end so they don't show up the most important games of the year. If AD/LAL at the trade deadline can crush the Super Bowl, AD/LAL would take away from the Finals as well. And we've already had one trade during the Finals, the Nets shipping their 1st rounders off to Atlanta.
Bob Myers crying cause he knows they fucked KD over for their own selfishness. They cost that man so much, damn shame. Reports on Friday was that KD's workout was atrocious but they still selfishly let him play. Of course KD was gonna insist on playing, that's what the greats do.
Knicks about to end up with a broken Durant and a 30 year old midget Kemba Walker. Almost like Amare and Melo again Sucks for Durant, but hopefully this slows the Knicks' pursuit of AD
They gonna offer him a max now? Just read KD has a 30 mil player option. This is good news for the Lakers though. If KD takes it with no max offers, and they max out Klay, then they will have no KD next year and even less depth......Klay and Steph cant bear that load anymore. They arent getting any younger and have had 5 straight deep playoff runs.
Knicks will absolutely offer Durant the max. The FO that they have now, they're led by Scott Perry who brought Durant to Seattle/OKC and Durant trusts him. They'll fork it over and just hope he recovers. And if he doesn't fully recover, he's still a 7 footer with an easy J..still gonna just shoot over the top of bums as easy as he made it look early on in the game going 3-3 from the 3pt line on 1 leg. If Durant loses athletic explosiveness moving forward he just becomes Dirk..that's how talented he is.
Jerry Colangelo explains why USA Basketball wanted Kyle Kuzma Kyle Kuzma was officially confirmed as one of the 20 training camp invites for USA Basketball this summer after rumors surfaced last week. Team USA is preparing for the FIBA World Cup in August, which will serve as a qualifier for next year’s Summer Olympics. The United States has won the last two FIBA world championships (before it was rebranded as the World Cup) and is undefeated in international competition since 2006. Kuzma is among the younger invites in terms of NBA experience. Jayson Tatum and Donovan Mitchell are the other two third-year players in the pool, which will have to be cut down to 12 for the tournament. Kuzma and Mitchell are the lone players who have no previous Team USA experience. Kuzma averaged 18.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game in his second season. The Laker fan favorite improved his ball-handling, passing, and defensive effort as a sophomore, something that caught the eye of Team USA director Jerry Colangelo. USA Basketball director Jerry Colangelo, says the big reason Kyle Kuzma was asked to join national team camp this year was the marked improvement he's made since entering the NBA Draft. Kyle Goon@kylegoon Colangelo, describing Kuzma's best attributes that made him attractive to USA Basketball: "Size, shooting ability, range, versatility. And he’s a tough guy. You need toughness in this competition." Miles Simon✔@milessimon One of the hardest workers there is
So Knicks are probably out on AD after this Durant Achilles injury. Just had the report, or leak, that AD has narrowed his focus from 4 teams to 2, LAL and NYK. But that was before last night and Durant's injury. AD can't commit to NYK after that. Shaping up fairly well for LAL, so whomever is running negotiations on behalf of LAL, hopefully, they don't fumble at the 10 yard line. Rich Paul has the relationship with Griffin so maybe he's steering and one of LAL's many FO heads are just working the pedals. Gotta get this done, and hopefully they can keep the hand of the king out of the trade. Clippers will more than likely continue pressing forward to try and get AD..or to try and raise the price so the Lakers have to pay up. Clippers will stay in the mix even though they can't offer as much..even though AD is no longer interested - if he ever actually was interested in the Clippers. Can't wait for the day that Durant goes to NY, Kawhi stays in Toronto and the Clippers strike out in FA. They're overrated AF right now. Caruso scorched their asses in that final LAL/LAC matchup.
i remember when he came into the league my attorney is a big flipper fan and wanted to take me to a game so i said sure i want to see KD play as a rookie was amazed at his ability and shocked by the toothpick legs that supported him my sister lives in OKC and has pictures of him w her kids hate to see what happened last night and embarrassed for raptor fans as much as i hate GS and all things nocal i'll be fine if they pull this out if only to spite those fucking fans
Toronto fans cheering on KD's injury was so fucking pathetic. I've been so pro anyone vs GS this postseason, but found myself hoping GS pulls it out after that nonsense last night.
Myers crying at the presser was a crock of shit. But then again, he's gay, so it may have been legit. I thought Durant should've played for his own good and what he could've gained..I mean, that's why he's leaving. But it sounds like he let the public pressure push him to get out there..that and the reports that his teammates/GSW execs were growing frustrated with his timetable. Kawhi told Pop, Manu, Parker, the Spurs' FO and their training staff to eat a dick - " trade me "..he refused to play with a significant injury after being misdiagnosed by the Spurs org. He looks wise today. Bobby Marks said he talked to 3 high ranking execs for 3 different teams with cap space and they all said they'd still give Durant the max. I bet Pelinka, Durant's former agent, was one of them. Knicks and Clips probably the other two. Durant will land comfortably this summer..personally, I also don't care enough about fan activity to root for the Warrios. Fuck no. I don't hate the Warriors, but I won't be rooting for them either.
