in the Dodgers and their chances to win this year. Fuck this pessimistic shit, we have three starters out of the lineup and not to mention many pieces to the bully. This team is solid. We are going to win. I am making my statement and sticking by it. I am tired of being down on these guys and teh organization. All positive vibes from me. I'm done.
I remember earlier in the season, they did a segment on ESPN about Hamilton and Kemp. They asked all the analysts if they were starting a new team, who would they take, and they all said Kemp. That's the kind of player we've been missing during this drought, and not only is Kemp's production going to help us a lot, it's going to help everyone around him. Whoever is batting in front of Matt is going to see their numbers rise big time, so essentially were adding 2 bats if you ask me when Matt returns. Lineup last night: Gordon SS, Ellis C, Abreu LF, Rivera RF, Kennedy 2B, Loney 1B, Cruz 3B, Tony Gwynn Jr. CF. Lineup(IMO) after the break: Gordon SS, Mark Ellis 2B, Kemp CF, Ethier RF, Rivera/Abreu LF, Loney 1B, Ellis C, Kennedy 3B. A LOT better looking, and will definitely be a huge upgrade. Now imagine if the Dodgers were to add another bat before the deadline, which they most likely will...it's all up hill from here, and we are the leaders to add Dempster to the rotation who had a 2.11 ERA before getting injured. Moral to all of this, the Giants, and Melky Cabrera who is hitting 350 and playing out his ass are fucked big time. Order will be restored.
Positive vibes baby....trickling down to the Lakers! Fuck yea sooooo fucking pumped about the Dodgers, Lakers, Kings, SC and our 2 future NFL teams. Fuck yea!!!
Back into first place. I can't believe this crazy team. We are without a stable infield. Mattingly is juggling the lineup every night, guys contantly playing different positions. Brand new rookies mixed with those on the cusp of retirement. All the best players have been on the DL. What a circus. But they are hanging in there. The players deserve the credit - but I'd give DBB a double share: Whatever he's doing it's working.
Yep, sure he overuses some relievers at times, and sure his bunting sucks sometimes, but he gets this team up and ready to play every day besides every devastating loss on and off the field. He trusts the right players quickly (Belisario, Bobby) and has known when to lay off some (Loney). Every manager is gonna have questionable moves, but at the end of the day you can't ignore a team like this actually doing shit
The biggest things: 1) Getting healthy only goes so far. We have issues offensively. 2) We have the 2nd best ERA in the Majors. When Cap becomes closer to who he is....when Harang has his Harang days....when the void left by Lilly isn't working out....will Billingsley step up? Will Kershaw have a Cy Young push? Can we sustain this pitching excellence? Are we gonna add a BP arm? A SP? 3) We have a FUCKING VERY TOUGH SCHEDULE. Don't underestimate the very tough schedule that does not fair well for the Dodgers in the second half. 4) Our two division foes. Arizona can play defense, they have the potential to have a very deep lineup. They are just 4 games back. SF will be around.
1) I truly think our offence will be absolutely fine with Kemp and Ethier in the middle again. Of course if they are who they can be. That will make EVERYONE in the lineup better, just like we were in April. 2) This is a tough one but it relies on CK and Bills getting to where they need to be and possibly getting a guy like Dempster. Bills has to get better if we don't aquire Dempster. 3) We have played better against the so called tougher teams this year IIRC. It's the OAK and SEA that hurt us most. No more interleague is a huge plus for us. 4) AZ is a worry for sure. They should be the best in the division and seemed to show some this series. Upton waking up is huge for them. They are getting healthy like we are too.
Sorry, was out in LV this weekend and so my mojo was used to get poon not the Dodgers. We'll be fine. Remember, Kemp and Ethier are gonna be back!
