Chris Paul's pathetic antics lead to Anthony Davis getting seriously injured. Dude had a clear path to the basket but had to throw his knee into AD in attempt to draw a foul like a bitch.

    The outlaw Jahlil Okafor

Report: Jahlil Okafor recently pulled over for driving 108 mph
CSN Philly — 40 minutes ago

Another shady off-court incident involving Sixers center Jahlil Okafor has surfaced.

According to a report from the Philadelphia Inquirer, Okafor was pulled over on the Ben Franklin Bridge for driving 108 miles per hour around three weeks ago.

The news was first mentioned Friday night in a tweet from Howard Eskin of FOX 29 TV.

Just a few days ago, it was revealed that Okafor had been involved in two separate altercations while leaving nightclubs since early October.

A witness told CSNPhilly.com that Okafor had a gun pointed at him outside an Old City nightclub on the morning of Oct. 4 after Okafor and another person began arguing with two men sitting in a parked car near the corner of 2nd and Walnut Streets (see story).

The verbal disagreement escalated and a witness said he saw Okafor try to punch the driver through the open driver’s side window. During the altercation, the driver and passenger exited the car and the passenger pointed a gun in the direction of Okafor and his associate, per the witness.

"I’m not allowed to talk about that incident," Okafor said Friday night after the Sixers' loss to the Rockets. "There is a process going on and I’m not allowed to talk about it. I’m sorry."

Okafor did comment on the fight he was involved in Wednesday night outside a Boston nightclub.

“It was definitely dumb on my part and something I’m embarrassed about,” Okafor said (see story). “We’re still dealing with the league and with the team, but I’m not happy about it at all. We’re going through the whole process of what were going to do.”

A video from the website TMZ.com, which surfaced Thursday, showed Okafor shoving and punching a man outside of a Boston nightspot after Wednesday’s loss to the Celtics.

Following the incident in Boston, a Sixers’ spokesman issued the following statement:

"We are aware of the report and we are currently working to gather additional information. Until that time, we will have no further comment."

Okafor, 19, has averaged 18.0 points, 7.9 rebounds and 1.7 blocks in 17 games this season. He was selected by the Sixers with the third-overall pick in the 2015 NBA draft.

so kobe, are your legs making you take poor shots?

Kobe says his legs aren’t what they used to be
by Dan Duangdao | Lakers Nation — 21 minutes ago

In the 108-96 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers, Kobe Bryant finished with 21 points, two rebounds and two assists in 34 minutes.

While the Los Angeles Lakers guard was able to get to the free throw line seven times, he was only 7-of-20 from the field and had two airballs in the first quarter.

Following the 13th loss of the season, Kobe was asked how he is doing after playing extended minutes against the Trail Blazers according to LakersNation.com reporter Serena Winters:

    Serena Winters @SerenaWinters
    Kobe: "I’m fine man. It’s tough. 20 years...My legs aren’t what
they used to be but you just continue to fight through it."

    10:04 PM - 28 Nov 2015

While Kobe shot a poor percentage from the field, he was able to get high percentage looks at times within the offense against the Blazers. Coming off screens, he was able to catch and elevate for mid-range jumpers. However, there were still times where Kobe took contested shots due to overdribbling and unsuccessfully pump-faking his opponents.

At this stage of his career, Kobe will need to rely on the offense instead of creating his own shots in isolation plays. With Kobe’s legs not being what they used to be, he will need to make adjustments to his game if he wants to be effective.

With the Lakers playing the Indiana Pacers in a back-to-back situation, it is unclear if Kobe will be able to matchup against Paul George. After playing major minutes, it would not be surprising if Kobe rested as Metta World Peace gets the start at small forward.

In 12 games, Kobe is averaging 15.7 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.7 assists.

Team plane incident was final straw for Quinton Coples with Jets
by Shalise Manza Young | Yahoo Sports — 2 hours ago

When the New York Jets released defensive end Quinton Coples on Monday, it came as a bit of a surprise. Yes, the 2012 first-round pick had become a bit player, but he was released late Monday morning, not long after the Jets returned home from a disappointing loss in Houston to the Texans.

Though first-year head coach Todd Bowles told reporters the release had to do with playing time and Coples being ill-suited to the defensive scheme, there reportedly was an event that led to the team cutting ties with him.

ESPN Jets reporter Rich Cimini, citing a team source, reported Sunday that Coples was "involved in an incident" on the team's charter home from Houston. Cimini wrote that it is unclear what happened on the flight, "but it didn't sit well with the powers-that-be, sealing his fate."

Coples played a season-low five snaps (out of 75) against Houston, part of a pattern over the last several weeks that saw his snaps plummet. After starting the first two games of the season, Coples played just 120 of 532 (22.6 percent) defensive snaps over his final eight games with the Jets.

Earlier this week, Newsday's Kimberley Martin reported that there had long been questions about Coples' passion for the game of football, and that Rex Ryan and Mike Tannenbaum overlooked Coples' lack of drive because they were enticed by the athleticism the 6-foot-6, 290-pound prospect from North Carolina possessed.

In his time as head coach, Bowles has shown he has little patience for bad behavior - he cut IK Enemkpali immediately after Enemkpali sucker punched Geno Smith during training camp, and now he's cut ties with Coples.

Coples was claimed off waivers by the Miami Dolphins, where Tannenbaum is in charge of football operations, though the Bills, where Ryan is now head coach, also put in a claim for him.

Miami and its newest player, Coples, play the Jets on Sunday, a key game for both teams if they want to stay in the race for an AFC wildcard spot.

Ronda Rousey spotted for first time since Holly Holm fight
by Minyvonne Burke | International Business Times — 3 hours ago

Ronda Rousey made her first public appearance since her UFC knockout fight with new bantamweight champion Holly Holm. The 28-year-old MMA fighter has kept a low profile since her Nov. 15 defeat but was spotted out and about on Thanksgiving.

In paparazzi photos published by TMZ, Rousey is seen walking around Los Angeles Thursday with a young girl. On Friday, the fighter was also seen walking her dog with her boyfriend, Travis Browne. From the images, it looks like Rousey's injuries have completely healed.

    12:00 PM — 28 Nov 2015
According to a previous report by TMZ, Rousey suffered an injured lip following the fight and had to undergo a procedure to fix the gash.

Rousey has kept relatively quiet about her fight with Holm. Shortly after the match, she wrote on Instagram that she was doing fine.

"i just wanted to thank everyone for the love and support. I appreciate the concerns about my heath, but I’m fine," she posted. "As I had mentioned before, I’m going to take a little bit of time, but I’ll be back.”

Rousey has yet to make another statement. Meanwhile, Holm told Extra that she was going to stay humble about her win but was also training for a possible rematch.

“She’s a very dominant athlete, a very hard-working athlete, so I know she’ll be coming back with a vengeance, and I’ll have to be ready,” the 34-year-old fighter said. “I’ll train just as hard, I’ll train twice as hard for the rematch, because anyone who has been as successful as Ronda has obviously been a champion for a reason.”

As previously reported, UFC President Dana White said that there will "definitely" be a rematch between Holm and Rousey but has not given a date.

"It's the fight that makes sense," he said.
