    FWIW...

Bellinger's stay in bigs expected to be short

With injured Dodgers close to returning, No. 1 prospect will be sent back down

    By Ken Gurnick / MLB.com | @kengurnick | 5:30 PM ET

LOS ANGELES -- Cody Bellinger's two-homer coming out party Saturday night hasn't changed the Dodgers' plans of returning him to the Minor Leagues in the coming week.

Manager Dave Roberts said outfielder Joc Pederson (groin) is expected to play on a Minor League rehab assignment Wednesday and Thursday for Class A Advanced Rancho Cucamonga in Lake Elsinore with second baseman Logan Forsythe(broken toe), and they could be activated Friday for the opener in San Diego, as could outfielder Franklin Gutierrez (hamstring).

Pederson and Forsythe ran the bases at Dodger Stadium on Sunday morning.

"Cody is here by way of injury," said Roberts of the Dodgers' No. 1 prospect. "You've got guys coming back. Did Logan Forsythe lose his job? Did Joc Pederson or Franklin Gutierrez lose their spots on the roster? It's great to see Cody perform. But I don't think that because he's performing in this short time, which is great, but he's here for now. I hope he makes it as tough as possible for us."
Bellinger's batting average jumped from .231 to .294 Saturday night after his fifth game. The last Dodger to have multiple homers in the first game he homered was Yasiel Puig in 2013.

"I think with Cody, I love that youthful enthusiasm," said Roberts. "On that second homer, to see that big smile on his face, it's just a kid playing a game and a lot of guys feed off that youthful enthusiasm. We didn't know what to expect when he came up, but it's certainly good to see."

Roberts said Rich Hill came out of his simulated game with no blister issues, and the lefty is expected to pitch four innings in a rehab start on Thursday for Rancho Cucamonga.

Why is it that I don't give a flying fuck about Rich Hill and his rehab?

What would be a better trade value. Ryan Braun or Giancarlo Stanton ?
Considering length of contract and the large salary commitment as well as the prospect commitment in trade.
Which trade would be a better value for the Dodgers?

Braun, and it's not close. Stanton's contract is an albatross.

What if they include Martin Prado, Brad Ziegler and Realmuto?
The 3 hitters all hit lefties very well and that old relief pitcher is pretty reliable.

    Obviously.
It is the perfect time to buy low on Villar since he is having a rough start to the season.
He will come around. Would be nice at leadoff now that Logan is injured.
That is why another good utility IF would be nice. Because Logan tends to break down kinda often. And Turner has had major surgery so he could use adequate days off.

Braun is a better hitter than Stanton and is owed way less money.

So Syndergaard refuses an MRI the other day when he experienced dead arm, saying that he's pretty familiar with his body and he knew things were okay, and that is why he refused the MRI. Cue today's start, and he gives up 5 runs in the first and leaves in the 2nd clutching his lat and in pain.

What did your in tuneness with your body tell you about that?

    Other famous "feelings":

    Kent: "Wheelies are a cinch....watch"
Bumfuckner : "Fucking dirt bike..STOP LOOKING AT ME!"
Fernandez: "Don't worry [snort, sniff]. I [hiccup] know this bay like the [gulp] back of my ex."

When will these stupid jocks ever learn.

Today's fact of the day: Andrew Toles is on pace to hit 35 home runs this year. Adrian Gonzalez is on pace for 0.
