    hope ryu is sharp and effective
    if not, it's gonna put a lot on haren to get ready quickly and hop in there
    ryu may have been sharp the last time he came back from injury
    but it's a little different coming back against the lowly mets in the regular season -- and this cardinals team is the midst of the playoffs
    hope i'm worrying about nothing
    hope he gives us 5 strong, we put up some runs, and then haren can hold the cards at bay until kenley comes in

    I feel like Ryu could handle carpenter with that change up. Carpenter has crushed us when he lays off a slider then feasts on the fastball

    Man this game is so big. Obviously every game is big but it just causes such a great positive ripple effect to win from here on out

    tonight screams " Turner night ", imo. Dee struggled with a crafty Wainwright..i wanna avoid seeing him struggle with a crafty Lackey. not that both are on the same level, of course, but i could see Dee struggling against Lackey too. Dee was decent last game against the fireballer, so i'd go back to Dee against Miller..if the Cards go to Miller. if they're facing elimination, they may throw Wainwright instead. and if they go back with Wainwright in an elimination game, Mattingly should counter with Turner.

    the other part to that is that Puig needs to have good ABs. i'd move him into the leadoff spot for this game and set the tone for him from the 1st AB. go up there and be a leadoff man..work the count and what not. i wanna see Turner steppin to the plate with Puig @ 2B multiple times tonight.

    agree with lasports
    i love turner
    but dee's gonna be in there
    especially with the lefty/righty matchup
    plus i think the lackey will have more problems with dee than he would with turner
    the whole cards defense tbh
    IF he can find a way to get on base
    dee's mere presence on 1B puts the cards defense on alert and affects the way they play

    Well, I can't say I trusted Haren in a game 4 situation. Although I don't think it would've necessarily been a bad call if we were up 2-1.
