The Yankees signed Raul Ibanez to a 1-year deal for $1.1M. Reason number 3,568 Ned should be fired, he signed Juan Rivera for 1-year and $4.5M. Reason number 3,569 Ned should be fired, Sands would put up better numbers than Rivera for 1/10th of the salary. Reason number 3,570 Ned should be fired, Ibanez>Rivera and costs 1/4th the money.

Man I can't believe that Manny and Ibanez signed for a COMBINED TOTAL of $1.6M on one year deals, Manny's coming via a minor league deal. If someone would tell you that prior to the the 2009 season you would've laughed in their face.
