We have to win Yu's start. The idea of being down 1-2 with Wood on the mound is terrifying. Yu has had good success at Houston in his career and is certainly a better pitcher than McCullers. Is Houston back offensively? I think the jury is still out....success vs Fields and Pinhead means very little to me. I think you can find kids at a local HS that could homer off those worthless fucks.

I will go as far as saying that the winner of game 3 wins the WS. If Wood gets blasted in game 4 like I expect, we still are at 2-2 with the best pitcher in the world on the mound.

Who would you guys start at LF/DH for game 3 against McCullers?

The way I see it the options are like this:
You can start Seager at SS and then you choose two from Joc, Ethier, Enrique or Utley

    OR

you start Charlie at SS, Seager hits DH and you choose one of Ethier/Joc/Enrique

McCullers has a nasty curveball, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see numbers that say that Joc would be awful against it and Ethier would be better. Joc is better against the heater. Enrique/Charlie typically look useless against righties with offspeed but now they’re hitting I guess? A tough call.

You know what I meant. You give Yu the ball and if he has raw, nasty stuff you let him go all night, especially if he is moving it around in, out, up, down and hitting all his spots. He can even finish if the situation is right.

Personally, I start Culberson at SS, Kiké in LF, Forsythe at 2B, and DH Corey in every game in Houston.

Same lineup vs LHP or RHP. I think our best players have been established. Even with the HR, I'd put Joc on the bench. Kiké had another clutch hit yesterday, and it was against a righty.

If they win they are champions?
    Duh...
That is the kind of logic you get from chicken littles.
Kenley fucked up, Dave fucked up, Utley fucked up, the Nerds fucked up, lots of motherfuckers fucked up last night.
If they have your same attitude then yeah, they are toast.
    Luckily... hopefully... they dont.

Your team is 3 wins from a championship and you can't get excited? No wonder everyone hates you.

Neither...what I was quoting was the Japanese Admiral, who said after the attack on Pearl, amongst celebration and a "glorious path to victory" toast, what the real deal was...FDR had zero to do with that statement.
Jansen woke up that rather sleepy offense with his poor showing. Actually, Morrow helped a bit, too.
The one run was on a seeing eye bouncer through the hole, so bad luck on that. A couple of feet either way, and we're out of it. But once Jansen grooved that 2-0 meatball that tied it--downhill all the way from there.
That whole lineup is juiced now.
    Confidence is high.

They're three losses from blowing the best chance they've had in my lifetime

    Damn right I like this!
    I feel the same way.
That loss hurt. Like any other WS loss.
But coming back like that with the Puig HR and then Charlie the Hero again... that felt fantastic.

I still feel like someone whacked me in the stomach a couple of times with a baseball bat, and then stole my wallet, and kicked my dog for good measure.

I had a secretary at work report me for watching porn at work, I kid you not.
I dont think it was one of the Jamie pictures though, it was the magic number picture.

Yeah, it was gut- wrenching, no doubt. And quite inspiring to see us come hack and tie it, and almost do it again..! The bench was great, too, except Grandal
But the pitching, except for the mysteriously yanked Hill, was less than stellar.
The infallibility of the bp was certainly laid to rest last night.
Maybe Dave will treat it now in such a way that doesn't reflect and expect superhuman efforts from individuals, like Kenley.
    We'll see.
