maybe braves had better pitching, timely hitting and errorless defense they pummeled us in every way possible would be interesting if lynn and julio had better starts game one was definitely winnable offense fought back and muncy just missed giving us the lead but yesterday, aside from a rally against a guy pitching back to back nights, the offense was completely shut down i do think they’re a better team that won’t necessarily matter come october… just need the team to play like they’re capable and for davey to stay out of the way
I think our starting pitching is too weak to beat Atlanta in a best of 7 to be honest. Maybe the Phillies can upset them again…think that is our best hope
Witnessing the creation of yet another reason/reasons we will fail in the post. Taking form right before our eyes, no one can stop it. It's Invasion of the Body Snatchers, MLB version... The after season spin will be how magnificent Roberts was with all the injuries. But the result, nevertheless, will be...
Playoffs are a whole different animal, and there are plenty of examples of teams that got dominated head-to-head regular season and then turned the tables in the post. Padres/Dodgers last year and Dodgers/Mets in '88 to name two. I just hope the Braves and Phillies get paired up in the LDS and take each other to the limit each game.
pepiot rumored to be starting tonight although no word from shithead Betts 2B Freeman 1B Smith DH Muncy 3B Peralta LF Heyward RF Outman CF Rojas SS Barnes C
<<<<<<<<<Hey ump: see Maggie's finger... The umpiring is at it's lowest fucking ebb I have ever seen...and I've watched a lot of baseball in my day. Incredibly bad.
tell you something i'm sure the Dodgers have had enough of is the mitt flip, one handed , we're so cool we don't even have to try shit that's gonna bite em on the ass big time and for real wtf w basically running your bp out there too early and fucking up the order you've been using the last 3 months? dave clearly gripped and felt like he had to have this one going to listen to what he has to say in the post cause that was some truly dumb shit no excuse for the lack of offense
Braves give off strong 2017 Astros vibes. like STRONG. Paid off umpires, whole fucking team looks like they are on roids, wouldn't surprise me if they are hacking the pitch coms.
absolutely there was no excuse and although i didn't watch most of the todays game i didn't see anything spectacular from their pitching not blaming the ump solely but what a hideous call w bases loaded on Mookie still there was a lot of flailing at things in the dirt and out of the strike zone which is very atypical of this squad usually seems like we're more prepared for a given pitcher but maybe that's a credit to atl mixing it up and if so now we've seen that too this wasn't a must win series but to play so feckless at home, well i can only look at one person can't believe the advance scouts came back and said "these guys are too good we've got nothing" no game plan, no intangibles, no fire in the belly, no wins so far
Goes by the R/L doctrine to the nth degree almost 100% of the season, but when it is actually a smarter thing to do, he just ignores it. Unless Arias is a swith hitter.
Mookie had a terrible game at the plate. Some of his worst swings of the year. Not sure the bad call would have made any difference last night. Want to play the blame game? Blame the nine limp dicks who made up the lineup last night. Get well soon JD. Need that stick in the middle of the lineup.
i like words but i'm pretty sure feckless could have been picked up reading your posts wish i'd invented that word don't you?
