team is not making good choices and it seems like Max is just a freaking c hair from doing total damage several times but oh well
my bottom line is we aren't playing like this series means much and it really doesn't other than ego and bragging rights
the mets looked truly unbeatable in 88 and this ATL team is real good but not great imo
the lack of actual urgency seems to me like it comes from the top down
a non motivator like davey trying to convey being competitive while not pulling all the stops can easily be interpreted as don't pull your dick out at all and this kind of flaccid

 

Or a LH pitcher, who got way more initially than expected , who was in there a batter too long, needlessly. Gave all indications that he had lost it, and should've been removed.
It would be nice if we could score on a DP by the increasingly milder ABs of Will Smith. Really a 180°
Betts was off last night, badly.
In fact, I thought his fielding in the first game, was meh. His slow motion underhanded toss to 2b, costing the DP, led to multiple runs, but his offense overshadowed that.
