This team definitely has our number now, just like the SFags do, especially when we need to beat them most. Whoever they throw out there we can barely score off of, and find new ways to lose to them.
Sure, Kemp sucked elephant johnson when we needed him to come through, but so did Turner. And not making a uber important DP, which totally nullifies the AZ scoring, is not how you play ball against a team when your season can turn on these games.
Sure, the sp is damn good, but starting off an inning by allowing the pitcher on base, when having the pitcher lead off ( which is the greatest thing since bb began) isn't superb. And imo, Hill should shitcan that sidearm bs he adores.
A comedy of group errors, but I guess raking the favorite scapegoats for the initial loss blame in this crucial series serves it's purpose.
Coming up with negative stats proves something, I guess, but that's the LA roster. Roberts going by the book maddeningly written in stone in most aspects, and then he laughs in the face of stats with others, like lineups.
I really think Dave wakes up and throws a dart at the roster and comes up with his cleanup hitters.
But, only winning 5 out of the last 19 against AZ shows a huge lack of determination and leadership, imo...That's shamefully piss poor...there's always Kershaw and Baez and the usual suspects to blame.
No matter who else may be the fuck up.

Sounds like Roberts is setting the stage for Taylor to move into a utility role. Guy has no business starting more than once a week at this point. Won’t be shocked to see Toles or Verdugo get a couple games to prove they can hang before Roberts reverts to Veteran Presents and starts K-Times 3 again.

 

Dodger offense in a nutshell.....first inning last night....Ray is trying to walk everyone and gets bailed out by the brain dead flailing of Kemp and Kike.

Set the tone for the entire evening.

 

Kemp should even play less than Taylor. That the nerds/Roberts still see fit to hit him 4th (let alone start him) is mind blowing.

 

Yeah...at some point ( which almost positive, passed already) you have to weigh the 14 HRs and depth he gives you against the 160+ Ks, tops in the league.
That dubious honor is usually earned by a guy who hits 35 HRs, 90+ rbi etc.
But definitely not a Taylor.
Depth is fab and all, when front line players need a spell, for whatever reason...but when the depth guys start every game, something is awry.
Some kinda roster rot going on.
Rust never sleeps.

 

Can't wait til we see has beens Kemp and Puig sitting courtside at all the Laker games after the Dodgers miss the postseason. Forget the biggest game of the season, they haven't done much at all for quite a while now, but you can bet they won't miss that opportunity to show up and schmooze

 

Don’t forget Kenley. He’ll be at every game except when the play the Nuggets
