here's the good news. our farm system will be stacked in 3 years when all the foreign 15 year olds start to mature and we sign the 1st overall pick of next years draft. fuck you astros, were coming for you
dbb saying hernandez was in the game and he didn't know how long it was going to go but he was trying to keep a.j. out of the game. yeah brilliant.
You know every other baseball fan is just laughing their ass off at us right now. If we just would have signed Prince Fielder none of this would be happening right now. Signing Prince likely changes the fact that Kemp ran into that wall, so Kemp is still great.
and the situation is deperate. perhaps in need of a miraculous turn around? or vigorous reach around?
...and we're back to the reach around comments again... doesn't that tell you enough about the Dodger season??
should be o/u losing 100 games our team slugging is second-worst only to the marlins and at least they have an excuse pathetic
This is what scares me the most. Yeah, we can turn it around, but we're digging ourselves into a hole against our division. Same thing that happened last year. Everyone in the division had fun beating the Dodgers. Not only do we need a turn around, when we do face the NL West, we gotta sweep teams. 10 games under in our division could be a death sentence if we're in it in September.
why do i feel that mattingly's going to do something stupid tonight?... (don't answer that, it's rhetorical) my guess is he'll try to compensate for all the second guessing he got for not having aj hit for hernandez last night, and do something stupid like hitting for kershaw... in the bottom of 5th... of a 0-0 game... with two outs and no one on... with kershaw having thrown 65 pitches and not having allowed a baserunner "was just trying to mix things up" he'll say after the game after another loss in -- only a month in -- an already long and aggravating season KERSHAW LOOKS TO SLAM BRAKES ON DODGERS' SKIDD-backs hand ball to Miley eyeing sweep of last-place ballclubBy Jason Mastrodonato / MLB.com | 5/8/2013 2:26 AM ETThe Dodgers keep waiting for something to spark the season. At least Clayton Kershaw is on the mound Wednesday. After losing their sixth straight game Tuesday night, falling, 5-3, to the D-backs, Kershaw takes the mound as one of the lone bright spots on a team that believes it's underachieving.Kershaw, who has a 1.66 ERA and 52 strikeouts in 48 2/3 innings this season, has won just three games. The Dodgers are scoring just 2.43 runs per game when he starts, tied for the seventh-lowest run support among qualified starters this season.Donnie Baseball... clueless as ever"You're going to have streaks where you're not playing good," manager Don Mattingly said. "We have a lot of guys who have been through these stretches before, they've played long enough. At this point, everything is kind of in the rear view. Anything that's happened to this point is really just to be learned from for us."Carl Crawford, who made two miscues in Monday's 9-2 loss to Arizona, believes the Dodgers are pressing."Everybody is just trying to do too much," said Crawford. "Me, trying to do too much. I probably should have played it off the hop. We all just want to do good. Everybody is trying too hard and stuff like tonight happens. We've got to relax and go out and play our game. We've got high expectations and we're definitely not playing up to what we're capable of."Wade Miley takes the ball for the D-backs, who have dominated the Dodgers recently, winning 14 of their last 17 meetings.Miley has followed up his strong sophomore campaign with a good beginning to the 2013 season, posting a 3.06 ERA and 30 strikeouts to 17 walks in 35 1/3 innings.During his last start, though, he felt like he was rushing his delivery, as he allowed four runs on nine hits and three walks in five innings, taking his first loss of the season. Miley said he might have been losing velocity while letting the front of his body fly open too early."A lot, because you've got no lower half," he said. "Spinning off means you have no power below. So it's kind of a positive in a way. I just have to get in the bullpen and work on some things."Jason Mastrodonato is a reporter for MLB.com. Follow him on Twitter @jmastrodonato.
