    If we want to win a WS this year, we're going to have to make a sacrifice. Can't wait for every superstar prospect to be ready. deGrom is under control through the 2020 season and now the Reds reliever is available. Gonna need to do something.

    I know Buehler gets all the ink and adulation, but I'd rather see this kid Paddy Ferguson start a game.
    Buehler looks good, has a great inning sporadically, but eventually is no more than average in result.

    I may only know three things. These:

    1. This team has a bunch of talented players and then a Forsythe. He just doesn't belong, period.

    2. Kike is great player to have on the roster, due to his versatility. His value is as a spot starter that can play almost any position, or a late game defensive replacement. But he is not an everyday player. He starts way too often.

    3. I hate losses. I hate getting blown out and I hate losing nail biters. But you know what trumps all? A defeat where the manager essentially quits on the team. Last night is going to eat at me for a long-ass time.

    i think Kike could be an everyday guy but i'm conflicted on how to use him
    1 and 3 are without question correct and i think most of us here are in complete agreement
    i would add that bringing back a guy like baez to enter the game late is moronic

    2B: Kike every start vs lefties and some starts vs righties.
    His power would make him a starter on a lot of teams like the A's or Rays.
    If Utley gets hot in the playoffs an Utley/Kike platoon at 2B would be a nice sendoff for future manager.
