    I think the manager owes his players and the fans an apology for literally giving up.

    Don't ever bench a player again for not hustling or making a mental error again, Dave. Nothing a player can do to be worse than that.

    I don't want to underestimate how difficult pitching at the major league level is. And to get upset at kike Hernandez would be ridiculous. But it does baffle me that that is all he's got. Lol. That's less than batting practice level effort.

    He has lost the team for his frequent fucking with his players mojo.
    First the pitchers during their no hitters and then the hitters with his fucking up their swings before having to let go and let them figure it back out.
    He called Bellinger a lazy ass a couple of times and now Bellinger sucks balls.
    Same thing happened when he jumped on the anti Puig brigade years ago.
    Just slip in Utley, the fans won't even feel it until he has trimmed the fat and has the team firing on all cylinders.

    Bullpen threw 8 shutout innings, ha. From the postgame, seems like Ferguson (the last reliever left) wasn’t available today and Hill would’ve been used in a save situation only I guess so he probably only has 1 inning to give. So, I guess that’s why Enrique pitched. Probably should been better about using JT/Hudson/Rosscup earlier in the game but wtv.

    So I can’t get this out of my head.

    Did Roberts think this was some kind of joke? He already knew the D-bags had won, and it’s not like we are 40 games above .500 and 6 ahead of the competition.

    So after the team fights for all those extra innings, Roberts comes up with this genius idea.

    I mean WTF!!!!!

    If we were down 11 runs, I could even understand that, but this was pure bush league.

    I hope he gets called to the carpet on this. This was just an abortion of a skipper’s responsibility.

    The fate of our team is in the hands of a supposedly affable, micro manager
    Roberts, and his kind of creativity is dangerous and counter productive much of the time. The kind of a guy who defends Forsythe by using "he is well prepared" as a reason for playing this over the hill nothing who adds usually zero.
    I don't get how you remove pitchers when they have a no hitter going, yet keep another in there when he clearly was well done, known to all but him, evidently.
    Roberts is the kind of guy who can take a masterful effort and turn it into a huge shitstorm, and drain the whole team while doing it.

    not that big a roberts fan
    would have liked to have seen floro in the 7th and 8th, but to be fair that's hindsight
    but i am truly at a loss trying to find a way to understand/defend him
    every starter except strip and maeda [and maybe wood] should have been made available
    worry about tomorrow (today) tomorrow
    no excuse for throwing away that game like that
    literally inexcusable and indefensible

    It could make it be forgotten in the vacuum of their/ our minds, but most likely well remembered by their fatigued and drained bodies.
