Roberts' legacy has accumulated quite a collection of head-scratching decisions lately. I really don't get it.
Can't make-shift a bullpen every season. Sometimes you have to make objectively good roster moves and not count on getting lucky. I understand not breaking the bank on relievers but they're not putting this team in a position to succeed. It's like 2015. Ryu went down early in the season and they had 3 months to find a replacement for him. Instead, Brett Anderson was our #3 starter. Just inexcusable. Blame the luxury tax. Or maybe not make horrible FA signings like Kazmir and Mccarthy so we have money to spend. What a train wreck series.
And the lineup, especially in a park like Coors, has to pick up the pitching staff. One game aside, it failed miserably to do that. Couldn't push more than three across against struggling pitchers like Davis and Bettis.
I hope we have one more horrible demoralizing loss at the hands of Dave. Like Kershaw rolling on for a no hitter but walks a guy in the 9th and Dave takes him out for Pedro Baez who blows a 3 run lead and the team loses. Only if it means that Dave will be fired, Pedro Baez released, Utley promoted to manager, and 2 roster spots open up for Verdugo and Will Smith. 2B: Dozier SS: Machado RF: Puig/Kemp CF: Bellinger 3B: Turner 1B: Muncy C : Grandal/Smith LF: Joc/Verdugo UT: Taylor, Kike, Smith, Kemp, Verdugo, Toles SP: Kershaw, Ryu, Hill, Buehler RP: Jansen, Maeda, Strip, Wood, Ferguson, Alexander, Urias That roster with an aggressive manager can win.
 Not possible this year obviously but if he takes a job somewhere else while we're padding Roberts' pockets I'm going to be pissed
Uh, as a staunch Nerd/FO supporter, I ask you as a gentleman, please don't mention those particular signings again. EVER AGAIN. THANK YOU
he's been good at times like chargois etc but the only guy i see w even close to what it takes to close is axford or kenta i think you have to give a guy the job that wants it the other guys are just used for standard RP
I’m so glad I didn’t see these past two games. I think I might have been arrested for indecent conduct. Suffice it to say, we’re in trouble. Wonder if Sept call ups will help us.
Axford's been very good his last two outings. Kind of hard to judge his first appearance in a blowout game.
